m icro beads (MCMB) based graphite carbon electrode for lithium ion batteries. Pilot plant setting

“ Hands-on” in support of experimental anode materials, primary duties included operation of heat

reactors utilizing various materials/chemicals in a lab environment. Worked with respective

contractors, vendors for equipment or tooling needs. Equipment included high temperature heat

f urnaces, and solvent distillers, materials extractor. Identify and recommend solutions for process

i mprovement. Investigate manufacturability /quality assurance problems and recommends

solutions. Able to recognize cosmetic and process non-conformance material based on Sr.

E ngineers and company specifications such as characteristic changes in production material.

Executed projects dealing with fabrication of prototypes tools in-house or custom ordered.

Responsible for supporting various manufacturing-engineering functions within the department

i ncluding assembly process, documentation, quality assurance, production tooling, failure

analysis, and manufacturing process improvement. Create R & D manufacturing batch record

documentation pertaining to pilot runs. Receive and verify manufacturability usage of new plant

capital equipment, check turn over packages for material compatibilities.

P lant equipment operations function, this includes the operations, maintenance, and repair of all

p ilot scale equipment. Assisted in validation of new capital equipment start up. Campaign

assistance through scale up equipment usage, Support Sr. Scientist in campaign runs and Process

engineers in set up. Process equipment support included spare parts ordering/Consumables for

20L (PARR) and 100L Hydrogenation vessel in order to minimize downtime. Knowledgeable of

safely operating Parr Vessels, Buchi Reactors, Isolator Mill, Cone Dryer. Hydrogen/Carbon

Monoxide/Helium cylinder setups, Perform leak checks on process reactors prior to startup.

Temperature, gas f low and agitator computer control monitoring. Maintain positive relationships

w ith sub-contractors, suppliers and employees. Ability to demonstrate the initiative to make a

p roject happen, Ability to search out the most reasonable cost. Ability to demonstrate solid

Knowledge in metal coatings of different chemistries used in conductive coating systems based on

vacuum deposited metals and metal oxides. Primary duties included to manufacture (Re) rhenium

components for the solid divert and attitude control system a part of Aegis Ballistic Missile

Defense System. Methods executed by Chemical vapor Infiltration (CVI) and Chemical Vapor

Depositions (CVD). Maintained and operate process related vacuum pumps and boosters that are

designed for corrosive type of environments. Chlorine, Argon and Hydrogen gas cylinder setup

w ith regulators and check valves in place for safety. Conduct materials fabrication and production

r uns/test according to Company Standard Operating Procedures. Set up and operate CVD/CVI

r igs and equipment to necessary coating type. Experienced in chemical cleaning of Quartz glass

w ith the use of HCL and Nit ric acids. Performed inspections to substrates before and after film

g rowth with height gauges, micrometers, dial calipers, pyrometer and other precision measuring
