ACHIEVEMENTS: Project Manager Lead On Several Projects That Were Critical To The Company:
• Replace a manual process of reports to upper management to analyze the company’s performance with
an automated update process including historical data for analysis in web format utilizing the WebSpeed
application.
• Worked with an outside cost accounting firm to analyze historical data and implement the company’s
desire to take variable costs on the income statement and calculate these cost into the system at the
customer level so more accurate profitability could be determined at the time of order entry.
• Developed an automated method for specific manufacturer and customer Special Price Authorizations to
be a part of the tier pricing routine so pricing would be more accurate to the customer when quoted by
sales reps or delivered electronically (Website, FTP, EDI, and XML). This automation into the tier
pricing routine allowed the company to be more competitive because their competition was not able to
do this at that time.
• Implemented an automated credit process for a high volume customer that would streamline the credit
processing of hundreds of returns a day based on the tracking number or customers PO number on the
box. This included posting the inventory which in some case were for bundle parts as well as post the
credit to the customer’s accounts receivable.
• Created and customized several programs effecting inventory, accounting, and order entry for a new
subsidiary of the company to run on the same platform.
Full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Project Management, From Concept, Through
Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation, Maintenance, and
Documentation:
• Created an entire debit reward program for the company to offer to their customer base that would
reward them monetarily on a debit card for their selective purchase. From setting up debt reward
customers, calculation debit reward earnings, to tracking return on investment for participating vendors
in the debit reward program.
• Designed a marketing software package to track vendor marketing fund accruals, marketing activity
tracking, marketing activity budgeting, marketing activity billing to maximize the company’s marketing
revenue and increased company profitability
• Created a customer coupon promotion feature where customers could be offered a coupon for a particular
type of purchase to stimulate sales revenue. This project included several different types of coupon
creations (date range, single-use, multi-use, part driven, revenue driven, etc.), customer coupon
authorization logic, and vendor return on investment analyzing if the coupon promotion stimulated the
desired result.
Re-Designed Several Of The EDI Programs and Scripts To Run In A More User Friendly and
More Efficient Manner Using Parameter Files and Table Additions To Eliminate The Need For
The Programs To Be Compiled and Replaced For Same Day Changes To Take Affect:
• Customer/Vendor parameter file entries/maintenance for popular EDI mapping changes
• Table and flat file design storage for data input where changes could be made not in the code
• Moved segments of code to include files for easier program changes
• Removed several redundant blocks of code and moved to comma delimited variables so one assignment
statement would dictate major vendor/customer EDI mapping segments
An Integral Part Of Executive Meetings Because Of My High Aptitude Of The Business And
System To Help Make Decisions On How To Resolve Issues Or Achieve Strategic Goals:
• Developed several new “Policy and Procedures” for almost every department in the company to increase
efficiency and minimize loss
• Summarize multiple reports into one daily cash flow statement for executives and lender
• Streamline the Point Of Sale rebate process that required multiple people from different departments
• Revamped the company’s tier pricing routine to better serve their needs with different levels of override
capabilities as well as historical analysis to compare their changes to their goals and budgets
• Implemented a product manufacturing and customer restricting and authorizations process
