I have done lots of projects in several businesses and in several roles.
The majority of my projects however were related to change management,
improvement processes and process redesign (lean). Due to my long
experience in finance, ICT, organizational matters and management, my

1) In this project I was responsible for the take-over of a product
line of Dow Chemical in Leipzig by EVC (European Vinyl
Corporation) plus a large reorganization at this site afterwards
due to required business and efficiency improvement. I also
coordinated the move of people to other locations/sites and
other jobs within the company.

2) Medtronic is the largest manufacturer of implantable medical
equipment with locations all over the world. I started as a
financial employee (controller and treasurer) and ended my
career at this company as manager ICT Europe. During this
period I worked in several countries in Europe and USA for
about 6 years and was responsible for major projects. After
these projects were finished, I decided to start my own
business.
In depth info last 2 projects:
Current:
Scope of the current project is building a new integrated European
organization for Marketing, Merchandising and Procurement (the primary
process in the heart of the Company), building a new strategic category
framework. Within the project there is a special focus on:
- Reduction of COGS and mitigation of price increase (result in 2012: $
24MM);
- Rationalisation & harmonization of vendor and assortment base;
- Creation of integrated business platform;
- Optimisation of rebate program;
- Category management process redesign and intro of planning process;
- Redesign of Product Lifecycle Management;
- Implementation of SRM (Supplier Relationship Management);
- Redesign of Product Life Cycle Management;
- Development and implementation of permanent spend file.
Previous:
Scope of this project was the centralization of Marketing & Merchandising
within the Benelux/DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) organization, the
closure of all marketing and merchandising departments and activities in
the DACH organization, building a new centralized new marketing &
merchandising organization in Venlo. Within the project there was a special
focus on:
- Closure of M&M departments in the DACH organization (150 employees),
including all negotiations with Works Councils;
- Building the severance plan;
- Building the new regional M&M organization in Venlo;
- Redesign of the M&M processes for the region BNX/DACH;
- Moving the DACH activities to the centre of the region in Venlo.
In both projects I am the final responsible project manager reporting the
regional VP in the previous project and the European VP Inventory, Supply
Chain, Merchandising & Procurement in the current project.
