DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM/SOFTWARE SKILLS

Visual Studio.NET 2008/2010/2012, C# 4+, ADO.NET 4+, Entity

Framework 4+, ASP.NET 4+, AJAX, WCF 4+, MS SQL Server 2010+,

SSDT, JQuery/UI 1.8+, MS Access

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

.NET/WCF/IOC(DI) Developer Independent - 8/11-Present

Conceptualized, modeled and developed a Visual Studio metadata

Add-On Wizard that uses an existing EF Context and UI gathered

method prototypes to generate an entire DI(IOC) layered

interceptor, decorator codebase from WCF REST Service Endpoints

to the DAL. A "poor mans" DI container is created from the UI,

the Service Host Factory pipeline is overridden with generics

and a Task driven instance pool diffuses heavy traffic. Six

layers of interception are currently supported comprising a WCF

Service, WCF adapter, Authorization, Audit, Cache, SQL Circuit

Breaker, DAL adapter and DAL slice. Everything is coded to

abstractions so loose coupling and tight cohesion are gratis and

industry standard. Code generation is handled by custom

templates (MS T4s were ruled out) and a base class structure

that is infused with reflection, heavy generics, LINQ and

continuation passing. Self populating DTO's, Javascript

equivalent objects, WCF proxies and JQuery (.ajax) communication

functions are auto generated releasing necessity of the coveted

Script Manager control. Project and configuration files are

examined and updated. An .aspx Web Client completes the package

utilizing this framework in a nifty little UI able to invoke

each WCF endpoint in the newly fabricated service contract.

Target files (.cs, .js, .proj, .config) can be versioned,

overwritten or safely merged with context exposure (contract)

changes. The wizard UI is a multi-tabbed, tree viewed Winform

articulating design options, target objects and directory

structures allowing customization of code generation and

metadata persistence. Using just a single method prototype (e.g.

List<Employees> GetActiveEmployees the wizard will pump out

the DI .NET infrastructure - that compiles and runs. Over 20

Microsoft related books were consumed in the development process

insuring use of reliable, maintainable patterns. Microsoft .NET

4+, VS 2010 PRO, SSDT, C# 4+, WCF 4, EF 4, JQuery UI 1.9 and SQL

Server 2010+ are my developer tools of choice. The IOC project

target audience is well seasoned developers, project and IT

managers who will see the pattern, tracking, parallel

development and reusability design benefits significant and

desirable. Black boxing the code was never the intent, it was

more a challenge to see if one person could actually accomplish

the entire project. I am that person. SSDT is a marvel that will

force most DBAs into poor sleeping habits but offline SQL

development was a long time coming. What can I say, I work

across many boundaries and I like being my own DBA. You find me

at high abstraction levels, prototyping and continuously

integrating but I'm truly a hands on developer (F10 & F11 are no

strangers). It's my opinion that my best customer is a well

educated one - as it should be. So it's no coincidence to find

me sampling consensus at the front end while contemplating

action at the rear.
