The maintenance group consist of (28) mechanical, electrical, P.M. team and building and grounds team. The maintenance focus was support of (36) injection molding machines 40 ton to 230 ton, (12) stamping presses 30 ton 150 ton, and (12) large automated assembly work cells

Set quality procedures on the cnc machining cells and production process of manufacture by the implementation and use of QS9000 standards.

* Manage maintenance supervision assisting in the set up and update a prev. maintenance program that will effectively service the production machine lines.

* Apply Kaizen Improvement methods / PDCA problem solving methodology, root cause analysis & corrective / preventive quality planning in production daily activities. Utilize lean manufacturing and JIT to meet daily requirements.

* Provide technical support, process improvements, drawing revision review, quality /problem resolution at the vendors, company interface with vendors, negotiation of bid hours for tooling builds, and supervise process engineers that send the work to the vendors. Served as part of multi-functional team to support process / quality between vendor and customer to co- design /build prototype aircraft / tooling.

* Served as part selection committee for new vendor sites to procure large tooling packages to build sections of the aircraft. This included site evaluations and review with vendor of how they would be able to meet the needs of Lockheed’s tooling / quality requirement. Insure Lockheed ISO9000 guidelines and procedures for build of tooling, was followed by vendors.

* Provided technical support as a process planner for the tooling / machining groups working with manufacturing engineering to resolve floor tooling issues.

Tooling Machining Supervisor

* Supervising all aspects of tooling machining area processes such as jig bore, milling, lathes, EDM, surface grinding, ID/OD grinding, CNC machining on lathe and mills up to large 5axis gantry machines. Assisting team members in any machining problems to make sure that the needed work was performed. Supervising approx. 30 team members.

* Hired as a Jigbore machinist “A” at the tooling dept. using all the jigbore machines both CNC and manual, as required to perform all levels of work.
