Newton Abbot

Centrax is a precision engineering company which makes blades for Rolls Royce. Within

my role, I was responsible for continually measuring with vernier and micrometer and

checking with various gauges. Working flexibly within in a team on day and night shifts

and keeping the parts in tolerances laid down in planning.

1993 – 2009 Production Operative AVX Ltd, Paignton

My duties involved operating various machines including a hydroelectric plater and using

precision measuring equipment to check production tolerances. I was also responsible for

training other operatives as required.

Working as a labourer and semi-skilled tiler/slater I was responsible for working to a high
