goals and objectives with regard to Safety, Product Quality, On-Time Delivery and Cost Performance. Direct
responsibility for Materials & Production Planning and Scheduling, Inventory Management, Supplier
Management, Program Management & Customer Communication, Facilities Planning & Implementation,
Manufacturing Engineering and the Selection, Training & Supervision of Production Associates engaged in the
Fabrication, Assembly and Testing of Electromechanical Assemblies for the US Military and Prime Defense

HYDRO AUTOMOTIVE STRUCTURES, NA, Holland, MI 2002 – 2006
Manufacturing Engineering Manager / Program Manager
Supervised project teams ($24M+ Budget) of Manufacturing, Quality and Production Engineers dedicated to
the launch of Engine Cradles and Windshield Frames. Activities included: Specification, procurement and
installation of equipment, qualification of tooling and processes (APQP), leading to full PPAP and Run at Rate
approval.
Facilitated the successful launch of a dedicated work cell that had previously been categorized as “At
Risk” for a major automotive OEM (Big 3) customer. The completed work cell exceeded all customer
expectations for product quality and cost, while meeting the published build schedules and bringing the
capital expenditure in at $2M under the budget target.
Credited with restoring damaged customer/supplier working relationship through cooperative efforts and
change processes resulting in substantial improvements in coordination and shipment schedules.

Manufacturing Consultant
Re-engineered process and shop floor layout for a small manufacturer of educational furniture resulting in
a 50% reduction in cycle time and 35% reduction in square footage requirements.
Led successful campaign of quality systems integration ahead of a planned supplier quality audit for small
manufacturer of oil-filled capacitors for the HVAC industry.
Developed a one-piece flow process for zinc spraying of capacitor cores to replace the batch process
previously utilized. Resulted in 25% reduction in square footage and reduced handling by 50% with no
degradation in product quality or increase in cycle time.
VAW OF AMERICA INC., St. Augustine, FL 1992 – 2001
Senior Manufacturing Engineer 1995 – 2001
Developed and refined manufacturing processes, equipment requirements and related cost information for use
in quoting and continuous improvement opportunities. Oversaw and coordinated the installation of dedicated
work cells for high volume production of automotive and office automation products including layout,
specification and procurement of equipment through commissioning and production-rate runoff.
Guided the implementation of the QS9000 Automotive Standard and ISO14001 Standard for
Environmental Management Systems companywide.
Recognized for meeting annual cost reduction targets of $500K.
Manufacturing Department Manager 1992 – 1995
Hired, trained and supervised a 40 member work group in all phases of production and maintenance in the
manufacture of precision drawn aluminum tube for use in OEM and after-market imaging applications (annual
sales $10M+).
Oversaw the successful startup of a dedicated production facility from groundbreaking through full
production, including purchase, layout and installation of equipment, recruitment, selection and training of
a self-directed work team, and implementation of a World-Class Quality Control system. Resulting facility
served as the model for additional facilities worldwide and was recognized as the standard for productivity
and cost-efficiency by the industry association.

Managed the successful transition and expansion from five-person Outside Supplier to thirty-person
Satellite Facility, including implementation of a quality management system, selection and training of

Plans in an aerospace environment.
