I have over three decades of hands-on nursing experience meeting the
healthcare needs of clients in a variety of settings. From E.R.s to end-of-
life care to special-needs patients, I actively collaborate with support

. Management/Supervision: guidance and direction of staff (CNAs,
registered techs, other LVN/LPNs) onsite and via telephone
. Medical, surgical, post-op, pre-op care from admission to discharge
. Monitoring: trained in cardiac monitors their application and the
reading of monitor strips
. Fetal monitoring: trained in their application and the reading of
strips
. IV therapy: familiarity with all kinds, including insertion and
access of Groshons, PICC lines, Lifeports, Hickmans, and in Neonates
UV and Scalp Catheters
. Therapies: working knowledge of physical, occupational, and speech
therapies
. Medications: trained in the administration of po/iv/im/sq medications;
mixing large volume IV medications; knowing the difference in
medications and their uses and side effects
. Charting: knowledgeable in care plans and formulation of such; well-
versed in the maintenance of a legally documented chart, whether
computer-based or hand-written
. Taking off doctor's orders in the prescribed fashion of the facility

and knowing the differences in masks and their uses, training in

Employed as night shift supervisor for a residential rehabilitation center
providing care for outpatient/inpatient/extended-stay clients with
traumatic brain injuries. Directing ancillary staff (registered techs)
onsite and offsite (via telephone) in medication administration, ordering
and dispensing drugs, assessments and documentation of care, injection
administration, and dressing changes (complex and simple). Personally
provided direct care and medical management when staffing level or clients'
needs necessitated and directed the transportation of clients for emergent
care as warranted.
