automotive industry in metal working.as well as business leadership in the legal field. Managed
teams of over 200 and led significant projects for my companies with successful results. Earned
multiple awards for exemplary accomplishments. Earned as Jurist Doctorate as well as a BSE
I am a hands-on and results driven individual with a track record of continuous improvement. I have a
wide range of experience in all aspects of manufacturing involving small to medium sized manufacturing
environments, including but not excluding implementing programs to reduce waste and cost while
maximizing quality and yield. Establishing an effective quality control policy as well as safety programs
including accident prevention programs including the proper training and usage of appropriate PPE. .
Implementing new purchasing policies to increase the number of suppliers for each item, with a
minimum of 3 for each, as well as extending payment terms to 90 days with suppliers and installing a
max-min system with regards to consumable items. In China I have implemented a 3 way check program
to reduce over ordering of items and the assurance of receiving goods by ensuring all purchase orders are
signed by the GM as well as goods received slips and that all items are checked against the inventory and
BOM before purchase orders are issued. Further, I encourage proactive participation across the
manufacturing floor as well as excellent communication and team building focused on production and
safety. Fully, computer literate, Bi-lingual, and available for relocation and travel.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Nelson Global Products, Nelson Changzhou Tubing Co., Ltd. and Pacific
Changzhou Tubing Co. 2010 to Present
Current Position: Operations Director
At Nelson Global I have been responsible for steering and directing the operations
and manufacturing of parts for excavators for such clients as Volvo and Hyundai I
have established operational polices and implemented process improvement’s to
ensure superior quality. I have directly managed over 200+ direct and indirect
employees. I have designed and implemented training programs and cross training
programs to facilitate efficiency and improve performance. I have managed
operational and capital expense budgets and have ensured adherence to quality control
procedures. Furthermore, I directed and optimized purchasing and material control
policies for tubing and components as well as coordinated with engineering and floor
teams to oversee design, production scheduling and on time delivery to customers. I
actively interfaced with vendors to ensure order expediting as well as preformed
production planning and material forecast. Again, I am a very hands on individual
who insist on knowing every aspect in making the product so if needed I can do that
job myself. I make it a point to keep a constant presence on the shop floor and
generally conduct all daily production meetings myself.
Selected Contributions:
Reduced employees by almost 40% while maintaining production levels by
way of redesigning and improving production processes, improved training and staff
utilization.
Implemented JIT production methodology to control cost and inventory along
with a FIFO policy
Improved workflow by introducing new technology and reducing the
workforce. Such as introducing cell arrangement, implementation of auto-saws and
serpentine bending, just to name a few
Introduced manufacturing process to reduce customer cost and improve
margins. We accomplished this process by having tubing length made to specific
order thereby reducing the amount of drop and waste in scrap steel. Along with
production planning and engineering we also were able to reduce the number of days
required to utilize our gas boiler to heat our Parkerizing tanks to 2 days a week
depending on production level as well as reducing the number of days needed to
utilize the gas dryers within our painting booths. This process alone reduced our
overhead by approximately 35%. We also implemented reducing the level of
chemicals and water within our Parkerizing tanks reducing the time needed to heat the
product and implemented a chemical and sand filtration device to recycle our rinse
water for the our products to a level which did not compromise the quality of our
products.
Maintained constant communication with sales personnel to identify customer
requirements and ensure the highest levels of satisfaction and developed a CIT team
and preventative maintenance for equipment to reduce unnecessary downtime.
Implemented cross-training between the engineering department and the quality
department on measuring instrumentation such as gauges and the CMM to reduce any
discrepancies with regards to tolerances or discrepancies
Negotiated all purchases of materials myself to ensure the proper material at the
right price
Lead the Nelson Changzhou Facility in setting up and implementing 5S and Lean
Manufacturing principals within those two facilities
Significant Contributions at Nelson:
• Secured a major deal with Chart Industries, an American owned
Cryogenic Vessel Company with a facility in Changzhou. I personally felt
it necessary to diversify our range of products at Nelson and thereby
secured a deal with the VP of Operations at Chart to do all of their
stainless steel tubing manipulation for their cryogenic vessels for their
customers, such as Air Products, thereby increasing our profit and
reducing Charts cost in overtimes and expenses for unnecessary welds
and x-rays of those welds. I also implemented a continuous improvement
team to work on site at the Chart facility. This project also improved our
presences within the China and Russian market domestically rather than
just solely relying upon export trade alone.
• Took upon over 40 new FS and Water Outlet parts from the US and PPAP
all within a 6 month time frame to production ready while maintaining
normal production by way of designating specific teams and conducting
weekly conference calls with the US and tooling up using local reputable
suppliers.
• Successfully purchased and imported US equipment into china for the up-
start of our new muffler line for Volvo trucking on road in Thailand and
Japan, which is a vary tedious task involving China customs and having
knowledge of international shipping laws, with regards to safety and
equipment being imported through Chinese Customs.
• Worked on a stand-alone P&L and maintained the AR and AP along with
the financial controller
• Introduced preventative maintenance programs and negotiated with
suppliers to maintain inventory on-hand at all times with the agreement
that we would purchase the material in the future.
• Utilized my knowledge of international law and the study of PRC
employment and contract law to successfully win numerous frivolous law
suits filed by previous suppliers who had conspired with disgruntled
terminated employees.
• Key Areas of Function: Production, Engineering, Warehousing, Logistics,
Purchasing, including purchasing engineer and the SQE, along with
customer service and sales team, HR and EHS and maintenance to
improve and meet customer as well as employee’s needs. I utilized
leadership skills to form team building and improve departmental
communication as well as implemented incentive programs for employees
for on time delivery, safety and quality of our products.
