• Traveled to Army sites, world-wide, to take charge of virtual migrations. Advised
customer on logs for Exchange servers, while investigating migration related problems.
• Accessed over 60 servers, through a secure tunnel, achieved by using a DISA VPN, via
TCP/IP, IPSEC, and Juniper Net-connect.
• Advised sites on setup of the (TS) Terminal Server, Connector Services Server and SQL
server (these 3 required for the EDS-P Migration Tool to function) on Windows 2008/2003. Setup
TS role service; installed programs on the server, configured remote connection settings and
added users and groups requiring access to the TS. This setup occurred on approx. 20 POD
locations.
• Migrated all existing non-deployable email services into the DoD Enterprise Email
Service using the Enterprise Directory Service Provisioning Tool (EDS-P); to include user
mailboxes, DL’s (Distribution Lists) and Organizational Mailboxes.
• Email Service is based on Microsoft Exchange 2010 running inside a DoD Active
Directory.
• Managed 22 migration engineers; Trained/Led/Scheduled & worked alongside my team.
• Ensured successful migrations, daily, presented After Action Reports, improved processes
and discussed ways forward with the PM, Pre-Migration/Fly Away Teams, other Leads and team
mates.
• With Mike Grothe, took charge of PAC migrations and all concerns at Schofield
Barracks/Fort Shafter, Hawaii, Yokosuka & Camp Zama, Japan.
• Escalated suggested migration tool improvements, (DAG time-out, synchronous=false,
multi-threading solution), to the programmers at Sec-B.
• Headed AKO effort, using new version of the EDS-P tool, which incorporated built-in
reporting and threading options. Streamlined efficiency of migrations by applying lessons learned
and studying predictive analytics.
• Wrote and verified ConOps and TTP’s.
• Conceived an improved Excel ‘Migration Worksheet’ (used daily for migrations), by
