Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of daily operational and new

construction projects in highly regulated environments in addition to expanding my supervisory skills including

training, procurement, and reporting. I enjoy the details involved with maintenance of current operations and

implementing new measures to increase productivity and reduce costs.

EXPERIENCE:

2012 - Current Project Manager – Kuykendall Electric and Construction, Milpitas, CA

• Actively manage commercial and residential projects including new construction as well as

structural upgrades and repairs ranging from demolition, frame construction, sheet rock, roofing,

concrete work, foundations, plumbing, gutters, masonry, tile, fencing, painting, landscaping, water

lines, and irrigation systems.

• Operate and inspect various equipment including but not limited to jackhammers, pipe

threaders, nail guns, grinders, hoppers, sprayers, sanders, industrial pressure steamers, saws (tile, chain,

cut off, chop, cement, and wood), drill press, lathes, air tools, pipe cutters (cast, copper, pvc, abs, black

iron, rigid, and galvanized) and ditch witch/trencher.

• Responsible for purchasing supplies and tracking inventory including project materials,

PPE, and signage. Develop weekly reports tracking project hours and materials used, accident/incident

reports, and worker schedules.

• Train new employees on job specific tasks and interact with customers on a frequent basis

to ensure work is meeting expectations.

2007 –2012 Landfill Operations Manager – Altamont Landfill & Resource Recovery Facility,

Livermore, CA

• Supervised and organized the work activities of 35+ union employees responsible for waste acceptance,

disposal and environmental controls. Managed customer and employee concerns, handled scheduling,

payroll, safety/equipment operation/environmental training, and traffic routing throughout actively

changing landscape.

• Interacted with site management to assist with cell design, structure surveying, and site environmental

compliance measures. Reduced overtime costs by matching operational needs with equipment

availability and employee capability.

• Managed operations in compliance with city, state, and federal regulations regarding waste disposal.

Interacted with various local and state agencies during routine and non-routine facility inspections.

• Installed storm water drainage systems (grading, drain pipe, inlets, catch basins, waddles, coconut

matting, etc.) on landfill slopes and in protected wildlife areas onsite to minimize erosion. Built,

maintained, and winterized dirt roads to reduce track out.

• Operated heavy equipment and specialty equipment when needed including a 950 Cat front loader, 836

Cat Compactor, water truck, Cat water wagon, Cat IT interchangeable tool forklift, gradal, skid steer,

padfoot, vibratory roller, Cat D6 dozer, and lifts.

2003-2007 Project Manager – Kuykendall Electric and Construction, Milpitas, CA

• Installed, maintained, repaired, and tested electrical components for industrial, commercial and

residential customers while ensuring adherence to code requirements as well as provided customers

with additional remodeling and repair services.

• Solved complex issues involving multiple electrical components and associated wiring for fire

suppression systems, elevators, and grain silos.

• Implemented energy-efficient solutions for clients resulting in significant annual savings.

1993-2002 Owner, J.C Kustoms, Manteca, CA

• Designed and installed custom interiors for aircraft, yachts and commercial, personal, and recreational

vehicles as well as seats for custom street & BMX bikes, ATV’S, wheel chairs, and restaurants.

• Provided contract services to Richie Bros. Auctioneers to support equipment upholstery restoration

prior to sale. Devised and installed fabric panels to allow for “clean processing” and maintained seats

for over 500 forklifts, tugs and carts at the Toyota General Motors Auto Manufacturing Plant

(NUMMI) in Fremont, California.
