Nettles Island is a 1578 unit condominium located on South Hutchinson Island. Comprising 120
acres this island community is bordered on one side by the Atlantic Ocean and on the other by the
Intracoastal Waterway. As Operations Manager my Duties included overseeing the maintenance
department, housekeeping, recreation, security and capital improvements. Yearly operating budget
was 3.5 million which included maintenance of roads, bridges, seawalls, lift stations, water and
sewer lines. Completed the renovation of the real estate office, maintenance building offices, ocean
pool, dune walkover and beach restoration. Other duties were that of Interim CAM responsible for
employee issues, rule enforcement, board meetings, budget oversight and numerous other items
related to “chapter 714 Condominiums”.
General Superintendent / Area Manager Chilberg Construction Co. 8/05 – 8/10
General Superintendent, Company Qualifier and Florida Area Manager. Responsible for Harbor
Federal Banks, Harbor Federal Operations Center, SunTrust Bank, Delo Medical Office, McGowan
Dental and Legler Orthodontics offices to name a few. Supervised all large projects, Osceola
Middle School, Latter Day Saints Chapel, Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Lakeside Fellowship
Church. Spent the last two years as company qualifier and area manager overseeing several
superintendents and numerous projects both commercial and high end residential from Stuart to
Sebastian. Managed projects in excess of $3 million, total value of all projects exceeds $15 million.
General Superintendent - Forbes Architects - Coral Gables, Fl 10/02 – 2/05
Forbes is an award winning architectural firm that also offers design build to clients. Average
projects in excess of $3 million, total value of all projects exceed $10 million. Projects included
American Express Latin American Headquarters, Miami Lakes, Fl. - General Superintendent for a
50,000 SF class “A” office building and all related site improvements. Avon Headquarters, Hialeah
Fl. – The 8,000 SF project was a remodel. Main Street Phase III Retail Building, Miami Lakes, Fl. –
New 10,000 SF. retail strip center. Cambridge Learning Center, Coral Springs, Fl. – Montessori
preschool totaling just over 12,000 SF.
Contract Management / Company President – Milestone Group Inc. 7/90 – 8/02
Contracted project management services to several owners, total value over 15 million dollars.
Services consisted of budgets, contracts and total project supervision. Projects totaled over 350,000
square feet and consisted of a 17 unit luxury waterfront townhome project, 14 acre medical office
complex consisting of 15 buildings, 150 unit apartment complex, 160 unit assisted living facility
Construction Manager – The Graham Co. – Miami Lakes, FL 5/87 – 6/90
Responsibilities include construction management of new shell buildings and related tenant build
outs. Supervised over 50 tenant improvement projects in existing buildings. There are over 100
commercial properties that M.L.Properties leases and maintains.
Owners Representative for the apartment division for two residential apartment complexes totaling
250 units. As part of the apartment division I was also involved in re-roofing, remodeling and
maintenance issues. The Graham manages and oversees 10 apartment complexes totaling over
1,500 units.
Estimator – Miller & Solomon G.C. Inc. & First Florida Building Corp 84 - 87
Worked as estimator on a variety of commercial projects, for some of the largest general contractors
in South Florida. Fast paced competitive bidding on restaurants, hotels, shopping centers, office
buildings, hospitals, etc. Responsible for quantity take off and subcontractor solicitation sometimes
nationally, Shop drawing review and project start up. Assistant project manager on various small
commercial jobs and clients custom homes.
Superintendent - Pulte Home Corp., Weitzer Homes & D.C.A. Homes 80 - 84
On site supervisor for five residential communities. Total responsibilities ranged from submitting
plans to building department, site improvements to final completion of all homes. Promoted to Area
Manager of South Dade County, overseeing seven (7) production residential developments in South
Dade County, totaling over 1200 units. Hired, trained and directed superintendents and their support
teams consisting of a staff of approximately twenty (20) employees.
