Statement of Qualifications
Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc., :
Daily or sometime weekly, I received logistic orders, scheme changes or other
assignments designated by the Manager for Distribution of Operations. I must first
review the materials of assignment. To comply with the duties, I must generate the
change by the contents to labels and make changes by the data requested. Then, report
to the designated floor to physically implement the manual case changes and automation
machines; computing how many cases needed to be affected and make the necessary
adjustments.
In addition, the appropriate personnel for case re-positioning and / or replacement
had to be notified.
It was imperative that logistic orders and scheme changes are kept current and updated
at all times, which had a direct impact on the correct processing and distribution of
the post office mails.
These changes directly impacted our EXFC scores, success.
Automation flow of mail processing; there were several sort plan issues and changes
needed to be implemented on the OCR/ISS Machines that would reflect (bin) changes and
redirect the down- load, of where the mail flow would transfer for further handling.
My task consisted of implementing the appropriate changes to the sort plans that was
given to me by the Operation Support Specialist. Updating and generating new placards
through Microsoft Word that would reflect and save changes in the system's files. I
prepared printing orders, placards, headers and requisition forms for bulk supplies to
be sent to outside printing companies to accommodate and maintain automation unit flow
of usage.

Statement of Qualifications
Ability to Maintain Records and Prepare Reports:
On a daily basis I reviewed all schemes (Cities, States and Countries) to
ensure the accuracy needed to efficiently process all available mails for
on time deliveries to ensure the satisfaction of our customers. In
performing my job responsibilities, it was necessary to maintain complete
and precise data with the operation of the InPlant Support Label Office
where I kept updated files which were stored and saved on the computer with
the functioning of various Sort Plan Labeling (SPS) and Passport Computer
Systems. Excel and Word applications were used. (Licensed and password
protected) by the United States Federal Government.
During the Christmas Holiday season, it was always an involved assignment
when the manual cases and automation machines had to be changed to reflect
not only new and updated changes, but changes to reflect the Christmas
handling to various cities and states for processing and distribution.
These changes had to occur in a timely manner and I would have to acquire
the logistic orders, produce new labeling and physically implement
corrections and changes in the appropriate areas on the workroom floors.
The data would be accumulated and filtered to all personnel, managers,
supervisors and employees through reports and training along with visual-
aides of the changes.
Records were maintained to ensure all proper procedures were followed
properly. As a result of extended efforts and sometimes overtime hours, the
processing of the mails (1st class and standard, flats and sprs) was rapid,
accurate and all standard goals achieved.

Statement of Qualifications
Perform Effectively Under Pressure Of The Position:
There were times when it became necessary to wear two- hats; performing
multiple assignments in the InPlant Support Label Office and on the manual
case station designated for zone 48235. I had received logistic scheme
changes in the Label office and on the station, which had to be completed
simultaneously. At these times, prioritizing work assignments were crucial.
The updated changes were to become effective the next day. However; my
operation on zone 48235 then, as a Distribution Clerk needed my assistance
and acting as an InPlant Support Label Clerk, deemed necessary for me to
perform both positions. Therefore I informed my Supervisor and Manager of
my ideas to preform both duties, I was granted approval. I reported to
Operation 48235 and processed all require mails in the unit and returned to
the Label Office to complete that commitment. The position in the Label
Office requires one who has the ability to work independently and I have
accomplished that admirably, using my own scheduling and method ability. I
was able to complete both assignments and was personally thanked for the
superb dedication from my Manager and Supervisor.
