Dear Sirs
I would like to be considered for open positions with your company.
I have been working in the manufacturing for over 15 years, with 9 of those in
medical device manufacturing. I started in plastic extrusion of food packaging with
Ultra Pac in Rogers MN. Soon after starting the company was bought by Ivex
Kama Inc, then eventually became Alcoa Kama. I started as a machine operator,
then became a cell leader and was promoted to extrusion supervisor. The shift that
I was assigned to as supervisor was 1 of 4 shifts in the plant and it was the lowest
performer out of the 4. They had an average of 6 months experience between the
line operators. By hiring more experienced operator to fill the many open positions
and through cross training other operators to different lines that better suited there
capabilities, I was able to change to the top performing shift while also being the
only shift with a zero recordable accident rate for the year.
In 2005 I went to work in Maple Grove MN for Boston Scientific in the core tech
polymer dept. extruding medical device tubing for heart catheter delivery systems.
While there I went from a senior operator to certified trainer and ended up as a
technician in the machine maintenance dept.
After a family decision to relocate to South FL I accepted a job with DENTSPLY
Inc. in Sarasota where I was hired as a production supervisor for the extrusion
Dept. During my time there I was able to accomplish many significant
achievements as far as writing and updating many processes, cross training
employees to learn different machinery to help fulfill production needs and also
setup a system for ordering and maintaining consumable goods for the production
floor.
My family and I made the decision to build our lives in the Naples area so I
accepted a position with Arthrex Inc. as a production coordinator in the assembly
and packaging dept.
Because of my experiences with multiple company’s and in a verity of different
positions I feel my experience and training in Lean Manufacturing, leadership
training, root cause analysis and internal ISO auditing that I bring a lot a valuable
knowledge to the company’s I work for.
