Surgical Neurophysiologist:
I have worked as a neurophysiologist with different brain and spine surgery programs in the US and
overseas performing neurophysiologic intraoperative monitoring with image guidance. Also employed
integrated functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) for pre operative mapping of cortical areas
associated with tactile, motor, language, and visual functions, made use of real time neurosurgical
navigation for cranial and spine application with stealth navigation system & floronav intra operatively.
Successfully developed, organized and ran neuro monitoring programs with different teaching, private
hospitals, and surgery centers and also in private practice. I have used multiple modalities for
neuromonitoring like field action potentials FEP's for deep brain stimulation DBS, SSEP's, MEP's,, Evoked
and free run EMG's, Analog and Digital EEG's with FFT, CSA, DSA, Doppler studies and WADA testing
with brain and cranial nerves mapping, fMRI and also image guidance for proper trajectory.
Neurosurgical First Assist:
I have first assisted in general and specialized neurosurgeries and also performed neuro monitoring on the
following surgical procedures: Anterior cervical discectomy, corpectomy, vertabrectomy, lumbo sacral
decompression for adequacy of nerve root decompression, scoliosis correction, instrumentation for spinal
instability including pedicle and lateral mass screws, stabilization of odontoid/dens fracture, spinal cord
neoplasm, Pterygian band release, femoral lengthening, pelvic hip arthroplasty, peripheral nerve surgery,
thermal capsulorrhaphy, acetabular fractures, spinal fusions with instrumentation and complicated hip
revision surgery. Craniotomies also awake craniotomies for the tumor resection, functional mapping of
brain, spinal cord neoplasm, diskectomies, laminectomies, aneurysms and instrumentation. In addition,
seizure ablation surgeries also helped with localization of sub thalamic nuclei for tremor disorders. Further
more cranio facial, maxillo facial, brachial plexus, spina bifida, untethering of spinal cord, epilepsy and
vascular (AVM and Aneurysms)and cardiovascular surgeries.

Time with multiple academic and as clinical faculty in the United States and overseas I have been integrally
involved in the medical education, supervision, evaluation, and research mentorship of medical students,
interns, residents and fellows under training.
Several years of participating in the education of fellow trainee junior to me and peers while attending
residency, fellowship, as a faculty and respectively in private setup beside academics.
Over the years the bulk of my clinical practice and teaching efforts have been concentrated in the field of
neurosciences where I played a prominent role nationally and internationally. In addition senior fellows
undergoing subspecialty training in neurosciences have been directly under my tutelage. I also have been Ad
Hoc reviewer of various neurosciences chapters.
