For the last couple yrs my primary goal has been to acquire as much conveyor installation experience as I could.
In addition to the complete rebuild of a 1200' tilt tray sortation conveyor at one of Walmarts distribution centers just outside greenville, sc last year for Contractors resource.
Prior to walmart was another rebuild consisting of the R&R of 1000' + of the drive chain for an overhead monorail conveyor as well as 2 of the chain drives at the Ross Distribution center in Fort mill, SC for IMI Logistics.
In the 4 th quarter last year thru Scott Grant of kudzo staffing in Columbia, SC I participated in an install of several new assembly line conveyors and mezzanines at a major addition at the Michelin Tire plant in West Columbia, SC .
And this year would be the 2 projects I've been a part of for Kevin Conti owner of Automation Solutions inc. Of Walkerton, Va.
The first of which in the 1st quarter was a 4 week 7 day a week shutdown consisting of the major rework and complete relocation of 2 separate conveyor lines.
Consisting of multiple belt types and sizes of conveyors at the Qwens Illinois bottle manufacturing plant near Chicago.
Then over the summer for a 2 month partial plant shutdown in another Owens Illinois plant located in Atlanta, Ga.
consisting of 1000's of feet of New conveyor/production line equipment at multiple locations thru the plant as well as the complete disassembly (and partial relocation} of existing lines in the path of the new equipment.
Prior to that was my maritime construction experiance beginning with a major refit of the "Caribbean Princess" one of Princess Cruise lines{and the world's} largest cruise ships afloat while in drydock at a Freeport Bahamas, facility for Maritime Services Corp. (MSC)of Hood River, Oregon in early '10 . Which consisted of demo ing to the bare steel hull the casino and one of the many restaurants onboard.
The goal of which was to move the casino down 1 floor to the space occupied by the restaurant directly below.
And vice versa for the restaurant.
The reason being to correct a significant design oversight placing the on board movie theater at the front of the ship prior to the refit only accessible by walking thru the casino, turning out to be unacceptable for the family friendly Princess cruise lines.
Then beginning in the 2nd quarter of the following year was 6 months in Cape Cod participating in the to the bare hull refit of several large portions of the ship the USS Kennedy At Buzzards bay, Ma. For the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, their training vessel. Specifically for Andrew Brown head of construction for Custom Shop Interiors inc. Of Solomons, Md. after meeting and working along side of one of his crews in the Bahamas.
Just to hit on the major projects of the past 5 years,
Prior to the above was 3 decades of hands on experience in the industrial and commercial construction industry the majority of which was in a working foreman capacity
