R ELEVANT EXPER I ENCE:
Day to day operations as a Human Resource Manager working with other
managers as well as being a resource to employees regarding any type of Human
Resource need.
On a committee of human resource managers with Communicare called the HR
Work Group discussing, reviewing and updating policies and procedures. Duties
i ncluded reviewing current policies and updating them with the current laws and
regulations. Also, discussing and evaluating the need to update or revise current
policies and procedures. I updated several policies of sections that were assigned
to me and then submitted them to be updated in the policy manuals.
Trained other human resource managers at both Communicare and Sprenger
companies on numerous occasions on their job as well as fill in at other facilities.
Helped create policies and manuals on several projects including the Preceptor
T raining Program as well as our Alzheimer’s/Dementia Unit L ife Enrichment
P rogram. Duties included discussing and creating incentive wages, interviewing
for qualified candidates, adding secondary job codes in HR system, creating
manuals for the program and job descriptions as well as rolling the program out
onto the f loor. Making sure that all staff involved had the proper paperwork and
t raining for the position.
Planning and setting up all employee events each month for important dates
t hroughout the year helping employee morale.
