Project Title: Functional Skill Mapping

Objective: Analysis of the present level of skills & competencies of the

employees through interviews and estimation of the prevailing competency

gap. This project has facilitated better assessment of T&D requirements.

. Strategies for Slum Development in Kolkata (Centre for Urban Economic

Studies)

Formulated recommendations on slum improvement and analysis of the

impediments. (committee review result: A)

. Economics of Women in the Red Light Area of Bowbazar and The Reason

For Second Generation Prostitution (NGO - 'Humari Muskan')

Performed a thorough study along with recommendations of new

strategies to counter second generation prostitution.

. Link Between Health and Education in India (University of Calcutta)

Studied and documented the effects of education on general health and

vice-versa in third world countries.

. Unorganised Food Stalls (Heritage Institute)

Calculated the trends in pricing and differences in food preference in

unorganized food stalls near offices in Kolkata and Patna. A live

model was also set up to explain the HR and Marketing strategies(group

project- placed 1st, group leader).
