This three months training from technocrat included training in 6 PLCs

(AB,SEIMENS,ABB,GE-FANUC,OMERON,KEYENCE), 2 SCADA (INTOUCH,IFIX),a DCS

(ABB),VFD,Pneumatics and Field Instruments.

Mini Project: Valve Controller (30 days)

A Valve is controlled from a distance using RF waves. The opening and

closing of the valve

is by a Stepper Motor Connected to the valve.

Main Project: PLC based Nitrogen Plant Dryer with SCADA overview, FACT,

Cochin (Oct 2010 - March 2011)

Various Parameters like the temperature and flow inside the drier is

constantly monitored and controlled using SCADA.The Soft wares used are

Intouch Wonderware(ver 9.5) and RS logix 500. A hardware model is also

made.

In-Plant Training: FLUID CONTROL AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE, Palakkad.

This 10 day training by FCRI Executive team provided insights into the

nuances of machine calibration.

Workshop on Embedded System Design, BIT, Coimbatore

This 1 day workshop by professors at Bennariamman Institute of Technology

provided an overview of Embedded System Design using PIC Microcontroller.

Was able to understand

how PIC microcontroller was programmed, which was quite useful for the

mini project.
