Doctor in Fluid Mechanics & Robotics (October 2014) +003*-**-**-**-** 34

Personal Statement

Motivated, self-reliant and curious. I enjoy improving my skills in order to efficiently solve

challenging problems.

1-Work Experience

2011- PhD, Physics, Pierre and Marie Curie University.

2014- Flow control using visual feedback (inspired by computer vision techniques), flow control can help

reduce aerodynamic drag, enhance combustion efficiency and improve mixing.

-Planned and Carried out experimental protocols in a water channel, and industrial wind tunnel.

- Acquisition system Automation allowing experiments to run for several days without manual

input (used for parametric studies and genetic programming).

-Implemented, Improved and Validated a novel real time algorithm for computing flow velocity

fields. Used for the development of a GUI enabling flow measurement and control.

-Systematically Valued and Communicated results through multiple publications in top-tier, peer-

reviewed academic journals and presentations in national and international conferences (see page

2).

2-Internships

2011 Research Internship, PMMH Laboratory, France.

(6 months) Experimental Investigation of the jet in cross-flow using a novel 3D particle tracking velocimetry

technique, analysis of large amounts of data.

2010 Research Internship, Cornell University, US.

(6 months) Experimental and Numerical (Fluent, Matlab) study of density driven flows (ex: underwater

currents, avalanches).

3-Studies

2010- Master of Science, Ecole Centrale Paris (One of France's top engineering schools).

2011 Thermal Sciences. (Top of the class)

2008- Engineering Degree, Ecole Centrale Paris.

2011 Specialised in energy technologies. (Top of the class)

4-Skills

General Control Theory, Fluid mechanics, Image processing, Computer Vision, Flow Control,

GPU programming, Scientific Writing, Public Speaking, Technical presentations.

Experimental Time resolved PIV, Real-time PIV, Stereo PIV, 3D Particle Tracking Velocimetry, Hot

methods wire, Automation.

Computer MATLAB, C/C++, FLUENT, LabView, CUDA, Tecplot, LateX/Beamer, Linux.
