Project Manager – SOUTH OF IRAQ = CONSTRUCTION OIL PIPE LINE.
During my self employment with Al Maha Group I was sourced by Middle East
Engineering to take on Project Manager Position, and manage the company for
short period till the project is completed, from June 2012-September 2012.
Working as project manager to complete the construction of the oil pipe line in
south of Iraq, in charge of the remote camp site with 128 employees, working
with contractors and sub contractors, preparing the contract document,
negotiating with the contractors and sub contractors the cost of the awarded
contract and follow up on their daily work, running cost and process their
payments till the work is completed. Manage the 22 Engineers, 18 Welders, 14
Security personnel, 29 Workshop, 8-QC and QA and 4- HSE personnel’s, HR
staff, and 10 Kitchen staff and manage the daily kitchen and laundry supplies, 4
laundry staff, and the employment of the daily local casual labourers.
Preparing the daily schedule of work for the various Engineers and monitoring
the daily work of contractors and sub contractors, follow the safety procedure
and evaluate the cost of contractors and sub contractors schedule of work,
monitor the financial cost the contractors present and administration, follow up
any dispute that may take place and presented by the contractors and sub
contractors and report this to the management, and make sure contractor and
sub contractors follow the company safety rules and regulation.
Maintain the health, safety and security of all the employees at the camp are
managed properly.
Business Development and commercial Manager, _ From Jan 2011 till
From January 2011i have been working for American company Almaha
group based in Amman Jordan on the Iraqi market as business
development and commercial manager, as an Iraqi expat and having so
many years experiences in Iraq and dealing with the Iraqi official on daily
bases and gain their trust during my employment with USA department
of State from 2007 till 2010.
Having so many years experiences to evaluate and negotiate so many
tenders with the Iraqi Government officials for the Iraqi markets and
since I have been working for Almaha Group the company has won with
my help various tenders and build 11 schools valued $13.5 million
Dollars and 5 police stations $7.2 million Dollars one oil depot
$228.4Million Dollars in the south of Iraq and refurbish two Hospitals
$9.34Million Dollars with my assistant.
After winning the tender and have been awarded, then I have to re tender
all the above projects and give it to the right contractors and sub
contractors to complete the project accordingly.
Work with the appointed contractors and sub contractors and follow up their
works and make sure health and safety procedure are adopted and monitor the
agreed cost of work till job is completed.

1. Subject matter expert on Oil and Gas industries for the Province of Ninewa –
IRAQ and focusing on the following areas,
a- Supply and distribution in the downstream.
b- Consumer demand and shortfall of petroleum products.
c- Planning and monitoring the upstream oil drilling in north of Iraq and the
impact on the environment.
d- Preparation of tenders evaluation monitoring contractors and sub contractors
and reporting.
e- Monitoring of contamination of petroleum product.
f- Preparing feasibility studies of downstream and send the crude oil to Syria and
Turkey to be refined for the Iraqi market due to the shortages of petroleum
products.
g- Business development and market research and market analysis.
h- Training the local people skill to improve their daily life
i - Follow up the daily work of outside contractors and sub contractors and monitor
the agreed cost of the project.
j-Preparing lengthly feasibility studies for all the projects before the tenders.
Monitor the upstream and daily production of Kirkuk oil field in the north of
Iraq some time it vary due to various reason, my main involvement in the
upstream were mainly on the spillage, production and processing to gather all
the statistic information and documentation of the upstream, the required
statistic information in the system made especially for the upstream system and
reported directly to USA Department of State and the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.
While working for USA on the North of Iraq on upstream production storage
and processing of the crude oil est (800000bd) supply directly by pipe line from
Kirkuk Iraq oil field to Jehan port in Turkey to be exported accordingly, and in
addition i report and document the daily input of the upstream and process the
production of Crude oil to Baiji Oil refinery ( which 350000 bd) and report this
on monthly bases to the USA Department of State and the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.
So that the Iraqi government will provide the required downstream consumption
through import to make up for the shortfall of the Iraqi production.
Also I was monitoring the upstream north of Iraq Kurdish production storage
and processing on weekly basis and report this to USA Department of State
and the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.
The USA have prepared time table for the upstream production Department of
State and processing system of information so that all documentation are
recorded on monthly or weekly bases according to their required need.
We do receive weekly and monthly report on the drilling, geology, geophysics
from different department as information if that alter the upstream production.
From 1983 till October 2007 i was working as Entrepreneur in the private
sector investment in Nursing home business and was sold at later date.
OPERATION-SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTION MANAGER- ADNOC

Supply all grade of petroleum products throughout Abu Dhabi Emirate to all
customers and Government through our own road tankers and contractors
tankers and also to the Abu Dhabi International Airport which must follow very
strict regulation to ovoid any contamination of Jet A1 reaching the airport.
Total employees in my department 285, that for the workshops, stores, depot
and the HR department.
Tendering, biding and negotiating with contractors and sub contractors on
various projects i.e 100 km pipe line to Al Ain, building the Depot, building the
LPG plant and the heavy fuel oil factory at um al Nar Depot. Also working
coordinating with Umm Al Nar Refinery on their daily petroleum production for
almost 8 years.
As I am one of the team involve in writing the tender and meeting face to face
with the contractors and sub contractors to discuss the tender in detail before the
tender has been awarded.
Follow up contractors’ schedule of works and monitor the agreed cost of work.
Summary of Experiences in the Oil and Gas Industries
1-keep good communication and customers relation on a daily bases and keep
the company best standard practice.
2-Adhere to company standard of policy and procedure on health and safety at
all time.
3- Apply team work with company employees and delegate accordingly.
4- When problems arise within the company or with customers due to
negligence, this must be dealt professionally by the highest authority.
5 - Follow up and on the up date upstream production and all new facility
that being used on the system of production.
6 - Prepare the annual budget and present it to the Board of Directors for
approval.
7 - All the company stock must be kept at minimum level through market
research and market analyses.
8- Preparing analysis and recommendation on oil and gas legislation policy issues
and long term strategy plan.
9 - Preparing tenders and pre tenders and coordinate with contractors and follow up
until the contract are completed.
10 - Producing robust research and provide expert policy analysis and technical
assistance in the field of oil and gas.
11- Formulate and recommend policies to maximize the oil and gas production and
potential use of the industries.
12 - Coordinate with the Ministry of oil and also with the Ministry of Energy on
long term strategy plan.
13- Preparing the annual budget for my department and taking in to consideration
all the cost involve.
