• Inspect maintenance, construction, and service contract work for workmanship, materials, system testing, and
general methods of completion providing written documentation of deficiencies, and implementing corrective
actions.
• Conduct regular construction site safety inspections for Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) compliance, unsafe
equipment, improper work practices, and hazardous conditions, providing written documentation of violations,
and implementing corrective actions.
• Mark up drawings to show as built conditions for existing conditions, in-house projects and service contracts
for plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R and utilities equipment so that changes can be made on record drawings.
• Plan, coordinate, direct, and supervise utility outages (steam, heating water, domestic water, electrical)
including completion of Job Safety Analysis (JSA), scheduling, identifying utilities unit staff needed and
physically performing shutdowns in compliance with OSHA and hospital safety regulations.
• Directed facilities staff in the creation of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC-R equipment maintenance record
binders for JCAHO (Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) inspection.
