production of Bulk Cheddar Cheese. The framework of the department operated under HPWS, consisting of a
team leader, a maintenance clerk and skilled tradesmen. Managed both operating budgets and capital budgets.
Project Mgr Packaging Tec Spec
The Dial Corporation - St. Louis, MO - June 1994 to October 1995
Supervised the overhaul of Alvey Palletizer that consisted of replacement of all hydraulic lines and the
replacement of steel support structures; unit overhaul extended the life of the equipment and postponed the
outlay of $300M.
Developed and implemented a Preventive Maintenance Process System for the Dry Packaging Department
which improved the department's machine effectiveness by 25%; resulted in the unit meeting its manufacturing
target.
Reduced product giveaway by selecting and installing a Ramsey Checkware system. Results: 27% reduction
in Laundry Detergent giveaway which also reduced the need for overtime by 13%.
Analyzed and made numerous retrofitting to reduce filler change over time resulting in a 25% reduction in
changeover and also reduced in line operating cost. Developed a qualification criteria checklist for all technical
personnel to identify key areas of knowledge and performance required for their success. This format was
implemented throughout the St. Louis Facility.

Space, Hearing Protection and Forklift Certification.
Developed Plant Storeroom Tracking Procedure to reduce the risk of not having critical parts to support
production. Coordinated the efforts in implementing an effective PM Program to increase productivity in the
Dry Detergent Department; resulted in a line efficiency increase of 15% and a direct cost saving of $250,000
in a 6-month period.
Developed and implemented a used oil procedure for the plant; also managed and tracked oil disposal for all
departments. Participated on the Leadership Safety Team and performed Safety Audits in all departments.
