OVERVIEW
I am an inspirational teacher and getting the best out of people is my ultimate objective. I have a truly unique skill, in

them to be the best they can be. I am skilled at employing a variety of professional skills aimed at accurately
communicating information, enhancing productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of both groups and individuals.
These skills include assessments, CPD, motivational training, seminars, lectures and workshops etc. I am a very
creative thinker and pragmatic practitioner.

to a very broad range of learners, including clinical practitioners of all levels of expertise and experience as well as
(KS5/A-L and BTEC National L3 Diploma) 14 – 19 year old learners, (mature) FE and HE students. Courses include
the broad range of programmes offered by Edexcel, OCN (Open College Network) as well as The Counselling &

OTHER FULL-TIME POSITIONS
Consultant 1996 - Date
Odina Consulting Services Ltd, UK
For over fifteen (15) years, I have run my own health and education consultancy – Odina Consulting Services Ltd.,
through which I offer my services as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor to clients and counsellors, respectively.
Through my work, I aim to improve the quality of life for people with mental health and allied emotional problems, by
working with and assisting them to see their circumstances as clearly as possible and subsequently make the necessary
decisions required to enhance their lives and well-being. I also uphold their rights, promote positive mental well-being
and improve public knowledge of mental health; challenging fear, intolerance and prejudice associated with mental
health problems. In my role as a Management Consultant I provide advice and support to senior management teams as
well as the facilitation of training workshops and seminars, in the various areas of Human/Organisational
Development, to middle-management and other supervisory staff – with representatives from all levels of expertise and
experience. Some of my workshop titles include: ‘Getting The Best from Your Team’; ‘Alternative Dispute
Resolution’; ‘Listening Between The Lines’; ‘Counselling in a multi-cultural society’; ‘Using Codes of Ethics,
Practically’ and ‘Setting Up Your Own Practice’, to name a few.
I have successfully provided these services to the following organisations:
PAO Architects, UK Management Consultant 2000 - Date
Agape Financial Group, USA Management Consultant 2001 - Date
CRI Commercial Properties, USA Management Consultant 2002 - Date
Lifetide Training Ltd., UK Management/Clinical Consultant 2003 - Date

productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

affected by cancer. During such training/workshop events I offer guidance in a number of areas including: raising
awareness, motivational skills, group dynamics and assisting user-representatives to become more effective in their
responsibilities towards their groups.
Dept. of Sexual Health, Homerton Hospital Management/Clinical Consultant 2004 - 2007
NHS Trust, UK
For this NHS Trust, I provided clinical supervision and employee assistance to the team of sexual health advisers as
well as regular facilitation of their Away-Day Training Sessions.
2
School of Psychotherapy & Counselling Lecturer 2004 – 2006
Regent’s College, UK
I gave lectures in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Mediation), using psychotherapeutic principles, to members of the
legal profession. This course of study has helped to reduce the number of cases that are awaiting trials etc. Once the
legal practitioners are fully equipped with this knowledge, they are able to encourage their clients to seek more
amicable avenues of restitution. My work has lead to many cases often being settled, ‘out of court’.
New School of Psychotherapy & Counselling, UK Clinical Supervisor 1999 - 2005
I gave lectures to the various arms of the student (Diploma, Bachelor & Masters’) and academic faculties in the area of
‘effective counselling in a multi-cultural society’.
I taught both the students and staff to appreciate that psychotherapy & counselling mean different things to people from
different cultures, very often the euro-centric model of counselling fails to yield the desired results when used out of
context/inappropriately - leading to disappointment and frustration about the profession. I enabled people to embrace
the salient principles of counselling and then adapt them to suit the needs of their particular client-group. I also
provided group clinical supervision to post-graduate students.
VOLUNTARY/COMMUNITY WORK
Psychotherapist 1994 - Date
Brent MIND, (Mental Health Charity) UK

client and their presenting situation. This process involves a 1hour session, after which a comprehensive report is
produced and sent to the Counselling Services Manager for the most appropriate counsellor to be allocated to the
client. I was also part of a team that set up a new branch of the counselling service

INTERESTS
I enjoy the education that results from travelling to different parts of the world. One learns about other people through
interaction with them. I have been fortunate to have visited countries within four of the world's five continents and
learned a great deal about human beings in my travels.
I am a competent and competitive sports enthusiast. I swim; play squash, cricket and golf. I am also teaching myself to
play the saxophone - of which I am making steady progress.
I enjoy writing (motivational/inspirational material) and I published my first book in March 2006, which is available at
all good bookstores and online.
