About the project:

ITFC, a member of Islamic development Bank (IDB) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) aims to

develop and provide Shariah-compliant trade financing for both public and private sector. ITFC has

decided to move from their legacy system to banking system to monitor and operate their services more

effectively. iMAL, which is a prominent Islamic core-banking product, has been chosen as the

transformation system by the ITFC considering Corporate Financing and Trade Finance as the critical

functionalities to be implemented in phase-1 and adequate testing has been performed for the same.

Thomas Reuter – Exchange Rate provider

MYSIS – Limit Management System operated by Treasury

SAP – Legacy system operated by finance department.

portfolio of commercial banking services. IMAL, Core Banking System (CBS) has been considered by

the emerging Bank which serves the business needs with ease. IRIS and ECC have also been considered

as external interfacing application with CBS which helped the business to carry out Cheque processing

and ATM processing respectively. Bank has projected to roll over to market with Liabilities, Assets, and

Treasury during the phase-1 and necessary testing has been performed to meet the business needs.

is to reduce the ease of effort followed in legacy model as financing involved Rs.200-500Cr. Critical

Functionalities like Repayment Schedule, Amortization, Yield, Delayed Interest, NPA, Additional Interest

have been customized in TCS-BaNCS as per the NBFC business requirement, to drive the business

smoothly. Adequate testing has been carried to mitigate the risk of functionality deviating from its

expected behavior

Description:

Export Letter of Credit is a document in writing where Advising Bank receives Letter of Credit from

issuing bank (Foreign Bank). Advising bank checks the authenticity of Letter of Credit and informs the

issuing bank and beneficiary about its ability or inability to advise the Letter of Credit. This is a concept

involving both the importers and exporters of a commodity.
