JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Act as the Commanding Officer and in-charge until the arrival of higher ranking
officers.
2. Act as Crew Chief responsible in planning and executing proper procedures in
responding, in Aircraft and Structural Rescue Operations, Firefighting and ensuring
that Standard Operations are followed as per Aerodrome procedures are concerned.
3. Leads a shift team of firefighters involved in firefighting, (Crash Fire, Oil and Gas,
Structural Fire, Rescue, Road Traffic Accidents “RTA” rescue and Medical
emergencies.)
4. Monitors specialist stand-bys( Aircraft (Refuelling/Defuelling), Hot works stand-bys
using firefighting equipments, Breathing apparatus (SCBA) and special rescue
equipments.
5. Responsible in educating crews by refreshing their knowledge and teaching or
introducing to them if ever there are new and current changes with respect to their
designated duties and responsibilities.
6. Supervises all testing, inspections and repairs of all fire and life support equipment,
Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) portable fire extinguishers and the testing and
maintenanceof a range of firefighting apparatus (Foam Tenders, Pumpers, Light and
Heavy Rescue Vehicles etc.) systems and equipments ensuring 24/7 availability.
7. Maintains all records associated with shift team activities including daily use checks
maintenance and testing of all firefighting equipments.
8. Participate fully in all Company’s required practical and theoretical trainings to
