M ini Project:

Title : performance of biomass based boiler

Location : bollieni castings &steel PVT LDT., surayapalam, Nellore district.

Team size: 5.

D escription: Generally coal is used to generate the steam, but in this project the

b io mass based boilers is used to generate steam which is used to power production

i nstead of coal. The main parts and accessories of a water tube boiler studied and

t he performance of a boiler is calculated.

Outcome: By the use of bio massed based boiler we can reduced bio wastage, hear

we also studied the boiler and also we calculated the performance of boiler is 87%.

Main Project:

Title : design and analysis of plastic master cylinder.

Location : Rao & Naidu Engineering College.

Team size: 5.

Responsibility: Team Leader

Description : Maximizing of vehicles performance is achieved by strict weight

reduction. Making the car lighter will improve the vehicle’s handling and

performance. The manufacturers are focusing on reducing the weight of the vehicle

by offering lighter material to the body panels. From many years automotive body

panels are manufactured using cast i ron but nowadays it’s been replaced by

a luminum, magnesium and ti tanium. In this project, we design a plastic master

cylinder to reduce to weight.

O utcome: From the results obtained above, it shows that weight of plastic master

cylinder is reduced by 45% i.e. reduction of 0.198 Kg. Since the density of plastic is

less than aluminum or any other metal, there are obvious chances of weight

reduction. This is a good advantage of using plastic instead of aluminum.
