Dear Sara Alexander;
My resume reflects a wide range of experience in the Human Resources field. My interests are directly aligned
with my experience. I am a firm believer that human capital is the most valuable asset to any organization. I
have a high value for encouraging a devoted team for the community and all its partners, while looking for
opportunities to enhance skills and refine talent using intrinsic motivation versus costly extrinsic motivation. I
take a realistic approach to Human Resources.
Currently, I am the Director of Human Resources at a promotional product company, solely directing and
administering the Human Resources department. I serve on the leadership team and support a global workforce
of over 70 employees.
Prior to that for 7+ years, I worked at a wholesale distributor, sales and marketing firm in Human Resources.
This company had a subsidiary manufacturing company which I was also heavily engaged in. I was hired as a
Human Resources Assistant and moved into the Human Resources Manager role after a reduction in force in
2008. There were several layoffs during my time at Hallmark and fortunately, I made it through all of them.
The respect I have gained from the Associates and Leadership Team came from my ability to balance the
Associate need with a conscious effort to remember the company’s bottom line. Additionally, my persistence in
caring for all stakeholders while providing excellent internal customer care has afforded me long-lasting, loyal,
relationships. All my references are my direct team leaders in past positions. I recognize that my success is
directly defined by the success of the organization and my internal customers alike.
As you can see from my job history, I am committed to the jobs and organizations I have worked with. I would
welcome the opportunity to visit with you about the open position. You may reach me at 262-***-****. I
look forward to hearing from you.
Respectfully,
Tara Halbur
