problems, medications and progress; requested, ordered, and evaluated

diagnostic tests to identify, assess and treat patient medical issues,

including, but not limited to renal dysfunction, postoperative ileus,

diabetes, dysrhythmias, hyper/hypotension, and infection; ventilator

management; hemodynamic monitoring with inotrope and vasopressor

management; performed removal of chest tubes, temporary pacing wires and

IABP's; counseled patients, and conferred with the surgeon to develop a

plan for postoperative care.

- Performed and dictated consults, H&P's, admissions and discharges.

- Surgically First Assisted in over 600 cases; over 300 of which were Open

Hearts (Valve, CABG and Aortic work), over 70 Lungs (Decortication,

Pleurodesis, Lobectomy, Pneumonectomy, VATS and Open), over 90 Carotid

Endarterectomies, over 100 other vascular and thoracic procedures (Open

and Endo AAA, mediastinoscopy, amputation, vascular bypass, embolectomy,

thymectomy, pacemakers, etc).

- Performed 225 Vein Harvests (Endoscopic and Open).

- Clinical work performing physical exams on pre and post-op patients,

adjusting medications, ordering further testing when appropriate.

- Post Operative Wound Management - Dressing changes, some wound vac

placement, infection and antibiotic management.

- EMR daily use.

- Working knowledge of Spanish Language. Conversational and have performed

H&P's in Spanish at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA and

Camino Health Center in San Juan Capistrano, CA
