Ground Worker: cleaning slack from die area, assist blacksmith when
requested to handle a given task, stamped hot forging upon finishing, opening
and closing furnace doors, correct any mistakes on material such as: washing
cracks, grinding cracks or wrong job and heat number stamps, seal welding,
p ulling new job orders to assigned furnaces, load furnaces and properly
adjust temperature gauges and ramp times according to given paper work.
D r iver: M SM 400 operator, handle all tooling assignments: assembling pots
according to dimensions of part being forged, finding necessary punches,
bottom plugs, r ings and following pins. Ability to align punches, plugs and
following pins in their r ight positions in rapid speed, front & back driver, heat
t reat, furnace programmer
M aintenance: changing out wear and tear i tems on pumps, energizers, 6500
& 3000 ton presses. Maintenance responsibili ties varied with every new issue
H eat T reat/Stress Relief: t ake hot forgings and arrange them into an
empty furnace using manipulator/forklift, programmed furnaces according to
g iven documentation, adjust ramp times and furnace kick-ups, used quench
t ank to cool forgings, washed cracks or any indentations from forgings using
torch (if necessary)

S tamping & Grinding: mallet stamped material with given information;
g rind, buff and brinell metals to check for its hardness. Record analysis and
report it to correct department.
