and increased profits while overachieving performance goals in service,

quality and customer satisfaction. Can contribute quickly by:

teamwork. Works well under pressure and collaborates effectively across

organizational and cultural boundaries. Received a MA degree in Divinity

from George Fox University and a BA degree in Religion from Warner Pacific

College. Additional technical and management training sponsored by US Army.

Selected Accomplishments

Reorganized field service teams to cut labor costs 20%. Labor costs at GE's

Granite Services (GSI) turbine unit were excessive. Created new Core Team

concept made up of best-trained field service teams to replace poorly-

designed service concept. Reduced average time for job completion by 20%

and improved profits.

Aggressive recovery campaign reduces past dues by $2.2M. Unbilled services

for GSI accounts in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia were at unacceptable levels.

Developed an aggressive campaign to focus on billing and collection of all

overdue accounts. Collected $2.2M receivables and brought past dues to near

zero within 12 months.

Streamlined turbine overhaul processes produce 33% savings. Rebuilds on

$10M power generation turbines were averaging 6600 man hours. Initiated

programs for phased deployment and redeployment along with new Lean

scheduling. Reduced hours for completion of Frame 6B turbine overhaul to

4400 hours, a substantial savings.

New QA/QC program reduces Army mobilization failure rate. Failure rate for

troops prior to overseas deployment had reached 18%. Developed new QA/QC

program of pre-qualification, medical records screening and physicals to

dramatically improve pass rate. Cut failure rate to 3%, the lowest among

all US Army units.

Redesigned war zone drivers training to cut casualties. Drivers training

was unrealistic and ineffective. Completely revamped all driver training to

replicate actual in-theater driving including live fire, IED ambush and

other situations. Recorded zero casualties among trainees over the next 3.5

years.

Planned development and raised funds for permanent facility. Private school

had no permanent home. After moving three times, took the lead in

convincing the Board and starting a fundraising campaign to generate

pledges, gifts and long-term loans. School successfully acquired 15-acre

site and broke ground for new building.
