Experience: Set-up, tore-down, and maintained labs used by biology majors. There was a new lab each week
and the lab was used multiple times each day. Worked independently as well as with others, and
required good time management, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Internship: Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office, Bloomington, IN: Spring Semester 2012
Provided assistance to the Prosecutors Office and additionally gained experience in law
enforcement. Activities included sorting case files, entering data into the State computer network,
telephoning individuals and businesses to verify information, and watching / reporting on case-
related videos for prosecutors. Attended courtroom procedures ranging from bond hearings to jury
trials to experience the judicial process. Required skills such as teamwork, multitasking, and the
ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
Work Police Officer Trainee, Baltimore City, MD Police Department: 9/2013 – 2/2014
History: Qualified for and accepted into the Baltimore Police Academy, which required a personal and
professional background check and driving record review as well as passing the civil service exam
and physical fitness test. Successfully completed 4-1/2 months before deciding a career in law
enforcement was not for me. Significant classes included Law Enforcement Emergency Medical
Care, Defense Tactics, Emergency Vehicle Operation, and Standard Field Sobriety Test Course.
Also became certified in shooting a Glock pistol and a shotgun. A police officer requires a lot of
professionalism as well as skills including listening, conflict resolution, teamwork, leadership,
integrity, etc., all of which I possess. Received commendation from my superiors and peers for
academic and physical training.
Hot-side Cook, Red Robin Restaurant, Carlisle, PA: 5/2012 – 9/2013 Summers and Breaks
Worked in an assembly line fashion with 6 to14 other kitchen staff to prepare a variety of food in
accordance with restaurant guidelines. Teamwork among kitchen and restaurant staff was essential
to produce food in a timely manner and to customer satisfaction. Conflict resolution was also
important, especially during stressful times, as well as good listening skills to solve
communication issues and get back to working as a team.
Assistant Soccer Coach, Messiah College Soccer Camp, Mechanicsburg, PA: 9/2011 & 6/2012
Coached middle school aged girls. Directed drills provided by the Camp Supervisor as well as
others to improve specific skill sets. Lead warm-ups prior to games and practices. Since teams
were selected at random and included players of varying athletic abilities and soccer experience,
leadership skills were very important to motivate teams, improve skills both on and off the pitch,
and ensure a positive experience.

8/2010
Served as soccer referee for ages 6 to 18. Required friendliness and professionalism in dealing
with kids of varying soccer skills and aptitude; patience; and a calm, even-tempered personality
