Database backup & Mail Servers backups which include Oracle

(RMAN), MS SQL, MS Exchange, and NDMP. And performing

restoration activities of the online databases backup

backup & restore operations on DLT's by using ufsdump &

ufsrestore and tar commands.

. Set up, Configured and Administred NIS master server, slave

server and clients. Also configured DNS, DHCP clients on

Solaris.

. Protecting files by restricting their permission, building

strategy of changing user passwords periodically.

. Implemented Jumpstart Installation to install groups of

similar systems automatically and identically using the

Flash installation features which involves taking a complete

snapshot of the Solaris operating environment, including

patches and applications, and creating an archive that can be

used to install other systems.

. Created a RAID 0 Volume to expand storage space for existing

data. Also expanded and removed existing RAID 0 volumes.

Configured a RAID 1 (Mirror) volume to maintain identical

copies of the data in RAID 0 (stripe or concatenation.
