Corporate Writing:
Randstad North America (temporary staffing industry).
• Edited, wrote and collected articles for two newsletters distributed to over 1000 company-owned offices nationwide.
• Wrote direct mail, brochure copy, advertising copy, advertorials, and general marketing materials.
• Worked with sales team on various RFP (Request for Proposal) documents.
• Wrote feature articles on temporary help industry and place in regional publications
• Initiated and maintained contacts with media personnel pertaining to employment and temporary help issues.
• Developed and maintained text for a home page on the Internet.
• Handled media relations for a survey booklet containing benefit and salary trends as reported by the human resource
departments of over 500 companies nationwide.
• Managed freelancers and outside parties involved in projects with the communications department.
Writer/Journalist
The New York Times - Wrote over twenty articles on human interest, medical and entertainment topics, including chronic fatigue
syndrome, asthma, numerous author profiles, small record companies, actors, poets etc. Worked as a stringer for the Metro section of
the Times reporting and writing spot news on Long Island stories (including: Amy Fisher case; Katy Beers case).
New York Telephone publications - Wrote articles for employee magazine on various topics ranging from a stop smoking program to
a conference on the new information highway.
Backstage Magazine – Wrote several feature articles on acting coaches and performers.
Chief Executive magazine - Wrote profiles of CEOs, including Peter Grace of Grace Company and Michael Shulhof of Sony
Entertainment. This required meeting and interviewing the executives.
Equities magazine (formerly OTC Review) - Wrote articles on small to medium sized companies and their management.

American National Standards Institute - Edited and proofread manuals on various industry standards.
