As part of technology development, successfully determined a suitable fluorescent marker to test for beta-
galactosidase expression in mice tissue required for further optical projection tomography research. This involved
working with mice in order to derive tissues, organs and embryos, followed by their further processing by fixation,
embedding, cryo-sectioning, staining, setting up positive and negative controls, immunohistochemistry and imaging
with bright field and fluorescent microscopy to detect targets for gene expression.
