• Instructing 50 students for " Catia V5" course and help them to clarify their doubts
Research Engineer, Hyundai Motor India Engineering Pvt Ltd., Hyderabad, INDIA Aug 2010 - Aug 2013
• Worked for the Chassis Design Department using the tool CATIA V5 R19
• Design and modify the Engine mounting components, Transmission mounting components, Roll rod mounting,
Exhaust system,Drive parts of vehicle, Brake and Fuel pipe layout.
• Ensured optimum usage of resources (both material and monetary) in designing the components while
maintaining quality norms performance regulations.
• Trained Graduate Engineer Trainees regarding the Master Modeling concepts, Stereo Lithography and on V4
to V5 conversion of component's data
• Involved in drafting and release of drawings after the completion of the modeling of the component's in both
2D and 3D formats
• Was a member of the Chassis Design Team for the small car project for India "Eon" and was portrayed in the
Annual Magazine of Hyundai Group for 2012.
• Worked on a "Virtual Car Project" wholly designed and developed by Hyundai Motor India Engineering
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) knowledge, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T),Working
knowledge of castings, stampings, injection molding, tubing, and weld element design requirements.
• Tear Down of competitor car and detail study of the Mounting and drive parts for the cost reduction
suggestion, which can be implemented in Hyundai Cars.
• Quality data sheet is maintained for after sales car across India and detail report for future action is given.
• Production Support: Conducted quality check, assembly issues and countermeasure implementation for proto
stages for Brake related issues of various A, B segment vehicles.
Mounting and Drive system:
Design and modifications on Engine mounting parts and drive parts according to the packaging layout and design
standards of the Hyundai group.
• Tear Down of competitor cars Chassis parts,Part Study and Analysis is done on those parts and generate new
idea which can be implemented in Hyundai Group Which is cost effective.(Three point Engine mounting
Bracket is changes to Two point Engine mounting brackets, FCD-450 is changed to Aluminum Bracket for
luxury cars by taking validation from vendors and R&D work is done on that part, proto is generated.
• After R&D STAGE IN car roll out stages, part proto is generated and performance verification is done with
vendor, till pilot stage will be taking care in part development process.
• Quality issues for part developed after sales of car(after market), will be studied and counter measures are
taken on that part.
• After pilot stage, Coordinating with different Department for the Assembly issues caused and taking counter
measures accordingly(Cross Functional Team)
• Coordinating with vendor such as GKN drive line for Drive shaft and PHI vendor for Moutning system in
changing the material and parts of Engine and Transmission mounting (like Casted part to sheet metal part)
taking load conditions and cost as factors in implementing.
Exhaust system:
• Design and modification of muffler sub parts and catalytic converter sub parts.
• Design and modifications of pipe layout and rubber hanger for damping the vibrations.
• Case studies on Diesel Particulate Filter and their materials and cost reduction of exhaust parts is suggested.
• Material study of exhaust parts which has to sustain high temperature and chemical reaction sustainability.
• Coordinating with vendor regarding the manufacturing constrains and cost effective part, so that we get
effective product.
• Responsible for component development plans, schedules, and coordination of supporting activity with related
departments, vendors and factories
Quality Department:
• Worked for suspension componenets after sales quality issues and countermeasures taken.
• Collecting data from across India and statistical surevy is conducted and sort the issue accordingly depending
on the seriousness of the issue bu co-ordinating with the vendor and Product Development engineer.
Reverse Engineering
• Participated in the tear down of various competitive A,B,C Segment vehicles.
• Reverse engineering of various Competitor cars Like FORD FIGO, FIESTA, SWIFT, VW POLO,
ALTO 800, HONDA BRIO and other luxury segment vehicles.
