The master data in the Consolidations and P&F environments can originate either from DRM/ECC or from BPC
(SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation). The objective is to validate the master data that originated
from DRM/ECC ties to what lands in BPC. The default validation processes in BPC do not provide the level
of automation or details required to fulfil the requirements. Hence, a validation process must be created that's
runs as an automated process triggered by master data loads and can provide a more detailed error report
when there are discrepancies between BPC and DRM/ECC data.
Roles and Responsibilities-
• Understanding and documenting the business requirement and translate the ETL requirements into system
solution.
• Coordinating with various teams to analyze BPC and DRM data structures and finalizing the design approach
for validations.
• Using SAP Datastage packs using RFC connections and ABAP workbench.
• Creating DataStage projects and environment variables using Administrator.
• Designing, documenting, and debugging the DataStage jobs.
• Providing L3 Support to existing prod jobs.

This will enhance customer experience and reduce costs.
It will also reduce risks and strengthen controls.
The ETL part of project is to extract records from the BIC database and create extracts to be used by various
teams for logging and legal purposes. Also, load fact tables of a star schema and analyse the Credit card cash

The objective of this project (Shaw to AFSVision) is to implement a fully-integrated lending platform
(Originations to Servicing) that will provide for straight-through processing and new/enhanced functionality to
eliminate redundant processing, increase product offerings and improve data integrity, while reducing overall
costs and the end-to-end cycle time to approve, book and service deals. Data has to be moved from AFS vision
system to staging area (as-is), then to AFS Core which is Teradata's Financial System Logical Data Model
(FSLDM) before finally reaching into Data-marts. From AFS core extracts will be generated for downstream
applications.
Roles and Responsibilities-
• Understanding and documenting the business requirement and translate the ETL requirements into system
solution.
• Designing, documenting, debugging and testing the DataStage jobs.
• Develop the processes for extracting, validating, transforming and loading data with the use of DataStage.
• Analyze existing DataStage jobs and optimize using Performance analyzer.
• Developing PL/SQL to provide data to downstream teams for reporting.
• Understanding the facts and dimensions in Star Schema Data mart and designing and developing the
DataStage processes to load the same.

Location - Bangalore, India
Project Description -
The goal of AML-KYC end state program was to overcome the limitation of an existing system in supporting
appropriate due diligence and event driven monitoring during account opening and maintenance. The
KYC program implements collection of appropriate KYC data documentation during account opening and
maintenance to enable bank to accurately assess a customer's AML risk at account opening and identify events
that change customer's risk profile.
The role of ETL in the project was to facilitate data movements and ensure data sanity between the SAS
lending area to AML Stage and dynamic interview databases and to quantify the risk of the customer.
Roles and Responsibilities-
• Understood and documented the ETL requirements from Front-End requirements document.
• Developed UNIX scripts for source file validation, row-count validation and to perform file transfer using SFTP.
• Took the complete bottom line of an entire interface, designed and developed the ETL Code using DataStage
v.8.1 tool.
• Provided support for the ETL code during the SIT phase.
• Coordinated with Client's data architects and project manager in order to provide support during the QA
phase of the project.
• Developed Autosys and FileWatcher jobs for batch scheduling.
ETL Developer
Infosys Limited - Bangalore, Karnataka - September 2010 to December 2010
Location - Bangalore, India
Project Description -
Commercial Banking and Commercial Real Estate ("CRE") monitor overdraft situations for their respective
customer accounts. On a daily basis both Commercial Banking and CRE obtain overdraft information from the
mainframe, review the potential overdrafts, and provide necessary approvals for the Overdrafts to take place.
Both Commercial Banking and CRE have to show and retain the evidence that all accounts are monitored.
Each morning several people take screenshots of 450 CRE Customer accounts (with and without overdrafts)
resulting in 2200 pages being printed per week.
The purpose of this project was to replace the printing and storing of pages (which takes hundreds of hours
per week) and instead create an automated e-mail of a spreadsheet and send it to a distribution list of RA's
twice daily showing details of overdrawn accounts.
The role of ETL in the project was to implement a solution which correctly identifies the accounts which are in
overdrawn status, obtain the required details from other sources and populate a Database twice daily and to
form an excel sheet which was sent as an attachment to a DL of RAs with help of a DotNet application.
Roles and Responsibilities-
• Interacted with Clients' SME directly to understand the challenges and develop the initial logic to implement
the solution.
• Developed UNIX Scripts for source file validation, and to archive and purge source and reject files.
• Designed and developed the ETL Code for the entire project using DataStage v8.1 tool.
• Was awarded with Department Level "On-The-Spot" award for a solution provided to incorporate a major
change in project which resulted in only the ETL Code being changed without any impact on Front-End code.
• Developed DataStage routines to perform row-count validations to load statistical data in tables.
• Helped new members of the team to learn DataStage.
