ADVANCED MICRO DEVICES (AMD), Sunnyvale CA 2006 - 2012
Senior Product Manager, Software Division & Client Business Units
Product owner for manageability, security and virtualization technologies for AMD business platforms.
Defined strategy and delivered next generation management technologies for AMD commercial PCs.
Created strategy that used industry standards to combat Intel vPro and Intel’s proprietary
management technologies. Worked effectively within the industry standards consortium DMTF
(Distributed Management Task Force) to define a new manageability standard (called DASH).
Led collaboration with industry leaders to successfully deliver DASH to market, forcing Intel to
change their lock-out strategy and adopt the standard.
Developed requirements, product plans, and marketing plans to develop, promote and deliver
new DASH technology to market. Worked directly with architects and engineering leads to
determine best implementation plan and ensure required product features were delivered.
Evangelized DASH to partners and customers to build preference and demand for a standards-
based solution. Collaborated directly with SW and HW partners, including Microsoft, HP, Dell,
and Broadcom, to develop DASH solutions and support in management consoles and tools.
Business development manager for AMD commercial clients. Defined new commercial desktop and
notebook designs with OEMs (e.g. HP, Dell, Lenovo) and successfully brought new models to market.
Worked directly with IT customers, sales teams and OEMs to determine both technical and
business requirements for new comme rcial PCs. Collaborated with both software and
hardware partners to develop and deliver commercial features required for AMD business
desktops and notebooks.
