Professional Work History
Chesapeake Energy Corporation (05/2010–12/2013)
Human Resources Training Specialist
Facilitation: Conducted on-site and distance training in the areas of new employee orientation,
organizational policies and procedures, workplace safety, benefits orientation, preventing workplace
harassment, drug & alcohol abuse awareness and IT software programs.
Course Development: Conducted needs analysis and built training to reduce knowledge and skill
deficiencies. This work involved building positive relationships with corporate and field operation
SME’s to gather information necessary to meet learning objectives.
Instructional Design: Collaborated with SME’s to develop and publish hundreds of documents related
to understanding company core competencies, management procedures, and software programs;
which reduced the cost of employee training and travel by several hundred thousand dollars a year. I
managed many projects simultaneously by prioritizing time to meet organization deadlines.
Documentation examples include: manuals for KRONOS, I-9 documenting and Microsoft Office.
Training Evaluation: Evaluated training program effectiveness and made updates based on
information gathered through assessments, surveys and 360 feedback. Analyzed third-party
development courses and submitted purchase recommendations based on need, quality and cost.
Employee Record Management: Maintained employee records, collateral, class schedules and course
descriptions in the company LMS. Verified completion of compliance courses for specified job codes
and contacted employees who were out of compliance to make arrangements to requalify .
Logistic Support: Coordinated field training events in 18 states by working with site leads to ensure
collateral material, computer labs and training rooms were prepared in advance. Ensured collateral
and technology needs were expedited when issues were identified.

Team Supervisor
Team Management: Directly managed 25 employees and delivered performance feedback. I took part
in the process of creating the team by selecting existing employees, and interviewing and hiring new
employees. To ensure the team remained effective, I provided performance feedback, coaching,
created goals and monitored interactions with customers. Other responsibilities included handling
employee disputes, delivering performance reviews and establishing monetary incentives based on
core competencies.

Human Resources Training Specialist
Facilitation: Led training that focused on understanding company culture, customer service, sales and
data entry. I conducted quarterly training courses to familiarize employees with changing products
and trends for four product lines. Training consisted of hands-on product demonstrations and
simulations.
Coaching/Mentoring: When I wasn’t training classes or creating courses, I was monitoring incoming
phone calls. I took this time to identify areas where emp loyees could improve and provided feedback
to employees to help drive sales and customer satisfaction.
Recruiting: Took part in the recruiting process by screening applicants, conducting interviews and

Social Media: I am responsible for managing the organizations social media presence on Facebook,
LinkedIn and Twitter. I make sure our members can see information related to monthly events,
literature on trends in the training industry, or anything I think a trainer would find interesting. I
also respond to requests for information from people interested in the OKC chapter and ensure we
are represented properly.
State Conference: I manage the creation of collateral for the ASTD Oklahoma State Conference. My
responsibilities include design and development of the conference booklet, advertising, creating signs
and banners for the event center, designing the conference t -shirt, and managing the event Twitter
feed.
