• Improve the Defense Travel System by empowering sections in the organization to process their travel request and

creating redundancies in the approval process; always keeping oversight and conducting internal audits.

• Requests, purchases and tracks multiple specialized equipment through Inter-government agencies such as the

Department Logistic Agency and General Supply Agency for deploying units.

• Organizes supply, maintenance and logistic training for the leaders of the organization to attend with subject matter

experts from local agencies and provides training via teleconference to outline stations.

• Prepares monthly Logistical Readiness Review brief for the next higher headquarters and organization leaders.

• Originated, developed and tracked 100% of seven Operational Needs Statements and two Equipment Sourcing

Documents sent to Department of the Army Headquarters for deploying unit to Afghanistan which encompassed 27

types of equipment worth $2,878,819.96.

• Developed the equipment Force Design Update documents to improve the organizations authorization of equipment.

The recommended equipment list will support over 1400 personnel worldwide for a total value of $44,000,000.00.

June 2009 – January 2012, Brigade Support Operations Maintenance Officer, Major, US Army, COB Adder, Iraq

• Prepared the entire Support Operations Staff consisting of six sections for a successful deployment.

• Integrated the daily staff planning and operations, directed the execution of logistics support to support Fort Hood.

• Earned the Army Contracting Command Contracting Officer Representative certificate prior to deployment.

• Prepared operations orders, policies and procedures for deployed operations.

• Began an overhaul of the echelons-above-brigade Field Maintenance Supporting US Division South in Iraq which

brought the Brigade’s operational readiness rate consistently above 93%.

• Pioneered the way for redeployment of maintenance units for downsize of forces and equipment from Iraq.

• Tracked the timely distribution and installation of Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles improved

explosively formed penetrator add-on armor kits for the MRAP fleet across the Brigade, Iraq Central and South.

• Recognized a required change of maintenance priorities and immediately improved the readiness rates of the Route

Clearance assets during deployment.

• Planned and executed an intense maintenance program to retrofit the brigades cavalry squadron upon reintegration to

3/25 Infantry Brigade Combat Team from a previous attachment to another Brigade Combat Team, which resulted in

the squadron returning to combat operations within 10 days after arrival to Area of Operations Bronco in Iraq.

• Maintained the brigades multiple maintenance systems at 95% operational readiness rate or higher to include Test,

Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment, Combat Service Support Automation Management Office and weapon rapid

replacement.

• Managed the brigade’s vehicle enhancement site that installed improved vehicle enhancements on over 500 up-

armored vehicles in Iraq. Coordinated the training of civilian contractors with soldiers to accomplish the task.

June 2005 – November 2006, Forward Support Company Commander, Captain, US Army, Schofield Barracks, HI and

Kirkuk, Iraq

• Built a Forward Support Company from scratch ten months before deployment and had a successful deployment.

• Developed and trained 89 personnel into an effective fighting force capable of performing their support role.

• Developed the Family Readiness Group into the best in the battalion which was a combat multiplier.

• Ensured that personnel had every opportunity available for self-development, sending them to professional

development schools, college courses and military training offered.

• Established a unique partnership with the Electrical Power Security Service in Iraq consisting of 423 guards

improving their training and capabilities.
