Summary of Qualifications

Phlebotomy training, responsible for drawing a wide variety of patients, processing, and packaging

specimens for transport. Daily use of a specialized computer program to input patient demographics and

test information, and also produce patient requisitions and labels. I have taken law liability and ethics

class, medical terminology, and also have had EMT training.

Skills

Prepare patients for blood draws, including putting them at ease for the procedure, explaining what I’m

doing and giving aftercare instructions. I am able to draw from a wide variety of patients including

pediatric, geriatric, drug addicts, and chemo patients. I am the only phlebotomist that works in the

doctor’s office where I am currently employed. I am also efficient in using a centrifuge and processing,

labeling and prepare specimens for shipment. I keep detailed logs of daily activities that go on around

the laboratory.
