Chief Operating Officer (Tier 1 OEM Manufacturing)
Managed daily operations of a Tijuana Maquiladora manufacturing company producing small flat lead/acid
batteries and solar panels that are coupled with power packs for trailer tracking, RV, remote lighting, and
emergency response industries. Also, worked in the development of EV Chargers for Nissan and the
Department of Energy.
• Manufactured lead/acid batteries for OEM applications in IT and Medical devices.
• Directed all operations to include Safety, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, P&L, Plant
Operations, and Sales and Marketing interface.
• Permitted as Mexican Legal Representative, FM3 Work Permit, Sentry Program Certified
• Member of steering committee developing Ecotality’s Electric Vehicle program.
• Partnered with the Department of Energy and Nissan to manufacture and install more than 8000
Electric Chargers in homes of new Nissan Leaf electric vehicle owners.
• Developed, installed and managed RMA center refurbishing of problematic EV chargers.

Managed operations that encompassed all vertically integrated functions of the lead acid battery industry to
include these manufacturing facilities: OEM Automotive Battery Manufacture and Distribution, Plastic
Injection Molding, Secondary Lead Recycling, and Strategic Sourcing.
Strategic Sourcing Initiative (Tier 1 OEM supplier) – Atlanta, GA/Paris, France 2001 – 2002
Provided global sourcing of 200,000 tons of sulfuric acid and other minor commodities.
• Applied McKinsey and Associates purchasing model and negotiated contracts throughout North America
and Europe to include companies in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy,
Germany, Poland, and Portugal.
• Contracts negotiated resulted in a 10% year-on year savings.
Director Plant Operations (Tier 1 OEM Supplier) – Dunmore, PA 2000 – 2002
Directed operations in the manufacture of lead/acid batteries in a Tier 1 OEM automotive supplier to Ford,
Mercedes, Nissan, John Deere, Paccar, and Freight Liner.

Managed plastics operations in a two-plant union free system that produced all plastic containers, covers, vents, and
small parts for GNB’s battery manufacturing plants.
