CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF WISCONSIN - Milwaukee, Wisconsin 2001-2014
Senior Database Administrator
Desktop Environment Deployment Technical Lead 2012-2014
Lead the design of implementing a standardized OS and Application deployment process that ensured a reliable and
maintainable end-user device environment. This project was incorporated into the corporate-wide Windows 7
upgrade project.
• Implemented Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2012, designed infrastructure layout
and implemented a distributed network approach to cover the multiple remote sites.
• Developed processes used to ensure end-user devices were properly communicating with the SCCM server.
• Built the Standard Operating System Image, along with device driver packages used as the base for all
deployments.
• Deployed automated packages/scripts to properly install application software on end-user devices. The majority
of these applications were 3rd party applications, requiring close work with vendors to optimize the installation
process.
• Integrated with the PMO to ensure coordination with other projects and resources.
• Implemented process and infrastructure to support bi-monthly upgrades of the EPIC fat clients, which included
working with EPIC to understand each of the programs installation method and working with application support
to ensure proper functionality.
