EXPERIENCE

• Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.

• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.

• Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.

• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.

• Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.

• Mark or tag identification on parts.

• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.

• Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, and

cleaning work areas and equipment.

• Clean and lubricate equipment.

• Load materials and products into package processing equipment.

• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.

• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.

• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.

• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.

• Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools.

• Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in

specified areas such as loading docks.

• Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or

outgoing shipment.

• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting,

or recordkeeping purposes.

• Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

• Deliver or route materials to departments.

• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power

tools, and postage meter.

• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.

• Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.

• Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of finished goods.

• Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
