Six years experience as a staff radiation therapist with simulation experience
Twelve years of extensive experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant; duties included personal care and
catheterization of male patients.

Staff Radiation Therapist:
• Simulation: Scanned patients prior to treatment planning, place field sizes and isocenters as required.
Transfer information to dosimetry planning voxels. Scans included Beams Eye View and Post Seeds for
prostate patients. I have also placed isocenters for prostate patients who use the Calypso Tracking System.
• Extensive knowledge and experience setting up patients and obtaining correct positioning of patients for
various treatment sites. Scanned patients using Gaiting system and IV contrast on Phillips Big Bore CT
scanner.
• Tasked out scheduled simulation procedures for incoming patients and patients under treatment.
• Treatment: Proficient on Elekta Machine with on board imaging. Demonstrated knowledge of digital
filming and evaluation of digital port films. Knowledge and hands-on experience with Varian Trilogy,
taking KV images and CBCT images.
• Scheduled patients for daily treatments using the Aria system. Performed Therapist QA of initial treatment
fields and boost treatments, which included electron set ups.
• Excellent at assessing patients well being prior to treatment and if need be, have them seen by the nurse or
physician prior to treatment.
• Extremely proficient performing IMRT treatments to patients and having administered such treatments more
than ten times per day.
Temporary Radiation Therapist -VA Hospital, Washington DC. 2 month assignment in which I performed all the
duties listed above.
