Responsibilities:

1. Drives office vehicles for the transport o f the authorized personnel and delivery and

collection o f mail, documents and other items as required and authorized by the LSA

/ Administration Support Coordinator.

2. Meets official personnel at the airport and facilitates immigration and custom formalities as

required.

3. Responsibilities for the day-to-day maintenance o f all UN security assigned vehicle, checks

oil, water, battery, brakes and tires etc. Performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs

and ensures that the vehicles are kept clean

4. Logs official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing on a daily basis.

5. Ensures that the steps required by UN/ UNDP Rules and Regulations are followed should

any Security Vehicle be involved in an accident.

6. Performs other duties as required or assigned by the LSA / Administration support

coordinator.

Abdul Khaliq has been working with me as driver o f the Land Cruiser, Prado from February 2006 to

August 2010. DUring this period we both served at UNDP Office at Muzaffarabad, AJK. up to

December 2008 and then at UNDP Office at Peshawar, KPK for the remaining period.

I found him to be an excellent driver; alertness, anticipation and quick reflexes as his main assets. He

has superb driving skills and in addition is always mindful o f the up keep o f the vehicle. All this while,

the vehicle did not suffer even the slightest o f malfunctions.

He has a pleasant and cheerful disposition and is calm by temperament. He has the added quality o f

quietness and does not transmit any thing that comes to his knowledge during performance o f his

duties. Is physically very tough with exceptional forbearance and thus adjusts quickly in all situations.

Is so punctual that I do recollect a single incident where he was not there before time.

Over all, I rate him an exceptional driver, fit to perform high consequence duties
