commercial, agricultural and industrial construction.

Instrumental to the ongoing success of a 5-year GSA contract with the U.S. Government. As primary contact for

Federal contracting officers utilizing the Federal Supply Schedule, developed rapport and repeat business with

direct calls or e-mails to the customer, made any corrections or additions and reviewed the final contract, resulting in

a cumulative time savings for the District Sales Manager. Negotiated with vendors for special contract pricing or

specification requirements (hangar doors, louvers, cupolas, etc.), resulting in reduced work load for purchasing.

BC Steel Buildings is a small family owned and operated manufacturer of pre -engineered steel buildings and

components for non-residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial construction.

Developed advertising, recruited interns from local colleges, and hired, trained, and supervised estimating staff to

accommodate fluctuating department needs. Coordinated with Engineering, Sales, Drafting, Purchasing,

Manufacturing and material suppliers to maintain accurate cost and pricing information. Advised t he Sales

Representative and estimating staff on which building designs would facilitate the most cost effective design and

maintain the integrity of the customers’ needs. Analyzed contract change orders and clarified with Sales

Representatives, the effect on delivery time and price of the contract, preventing misunderstandings and delays.

Consulted with Engineering Department and advised customer/builder and Sales staff of required or recommended

modifications to any special requests. Instituted frame design, load analysis, methods & procedures, pricing
