6+ yrs experience as a Dept. level supervisor, has taught me much about effective team building
and teamwork. Extensive experience on many different types of bindery and finishing machines
and advanced techniques applicable to those process, have shown me to be a an excellent mentor
in a leadership position, and have made me a top performer in a production role. Employment
reviews reflect my team’s production to be above company benchmarks. I thrive in learning
environments because I am a fast learner and excel when challenged. My attention to detail and
ability to communicate make me a strong leader.

slitter or scored work. Conveyor tables to turnover tables. Sizes range from desktop
models to 26x40 8 plate folders.
Polar Mohr/Micro-cut/Schneider/Lawson/Harris-Seybold/Pivano/Challenge cutters, from

19” to 62” using jogging tables, shelf loading systems, and auto trim features. Certified
by Heidlberg to change maintain and operate 2008 and newer model Polar xt cutters,
including blade changes and preventative maintenance.
Worked on and with, Mueller Martini, bravo, bravo plus, minute man, prima and 335

models up to 10 pockets with a cover feeder. Some experience with palimedes banding

Work history:
2010-Current R.R. Donnelley: I am currently working as a cell leader/machine operator at
R.R. Donnelley Nielsen in Florence Ky.
2009- 2010 ANET ORDER: Working as a night shift supervisor A-net Order, where I managed
workflow, quality, and efficiency in the Accu-sort, digital print and letter shop depts. I also
assisted in a production role, in the letter shop on the Bell and Howell inserters and operated the
inkjet system(s) in Accu-sort.
Responsible for training and development of a core group of 15 permanent employees, and up to
10 temps at any given time.
2009-2010 USPS: I held a position as a TE (temporary) City Letter Carrier for the USPS; I had
some very specific training in regards to safe driving, sorting and delivering the mail. Including
training on various Vehicles up to and including 2 ton box trucks.
Also during this time period, I about 4 months additional exposure to the setup and operation of
bell and Howell inserters, as well as a couple different inkjet systems at various temporary labor
assignments.
2008-2009 Temporary: I had several temporary jobs and short term work, due to bare economy
and slow business.
2004 - 2008 Shorewood Packaging
Supervisor Bindery: I began my career at Shorewood Packaging as a Cutter operator 6 months
later I became a Multi Machine Operator. As A Multi machine Operator I was Responsible for
training Bindery new hires on cutters and folders as well as company policies and procedures.
How to Setup, operate and maintain Polar ED, XT, Stahl/MBO Folders, and various other
equipment.
Having extensive training and understanding of all the above, I was able to excel and was
subsequently promoted to supervisor. As the bindery supervisor I Supervised a crew of 20-25
on, where I had to manage work flow to all the different areas of the finishing dept as well as
monitor job tracking, quality, safety standards and inventory control.
As a Bindery supervisor, I had to do a 6 week apprenticeship course on the heidlberg presses in
order to solidify my knowledge of other areas of the company. .
2001 – 2004 Beechmont Press
Bindery nightshift supervisor: Managed workflow, quality and efficiency. I also was
responsible for training and development of a crew of 20 full time employees and 15 temps at
any given time. Also required to assist in the Setup, maintenance and operation of Polar Ed/XT
cutters and Stahl/MBO Folders as needed. Apprenticed on Rollem slitters and Mueller Martini
perfect binders/stitchers and an older model Bobst Die cutter in order maintain higher operating
efficiency on more process on the night shift.

Title: Bindery Operator/Cell leader
Over saw night shift production duties as a Team lead. This was my first real exposure to
manufacturing and printing. Here I began training to Setup, operate and maintain Polar cutters.
I was also trained in the operation of Programmed hydraulic die presses, and Hobbs adjustable
die presses.
Worked as a baler operator for a short time and worked as a Roll tend on a stock sheeter,
handled inventory and operated forklift/clamp trucks in the roll stock warehouse. I have been
certified for forklifts, Reach trucks, cherry pickers and clamp truck operation and have
experience with inventory manifests, loading and unloading tractor trailers. At Paper cone I
became the Definition of a go to guy, I was trained to do just about everything and delighted in
fulfilling that role!
