This is a 40 hour a week position. Meet with and document daily on Mental
Health inmates in the Infirmary. See Medical inmates if requested by those
inmates. Obtain admit and discharge orders for all Mental Health inmates
entering and leaving the Infirmary. Obtain orders, complete assessments and
complete documentation for inmates being restrained. Check restrained
inmates as ordered in the Operations Procedure Manual. Obtain orders for
transfer of inmates to the Mental Health Unit as needed. Renew all Mental
Health client medications, note orders and obtain provider signatures.
Update the Mental Health Client List on a weekly basis (med changes and
renewals, add new clients, remove discharged clients, update dates inmates
seen by the Psychiatrist). Schedule all Telemedicine video conferences and
client Telemedicine appointments. Schedule all client appointments with
Psychiatrist for face to face consults. Respond to kites requesting or
complaining about Mental Health medications. Call provider for all Mental
Health orders while on duty. Call provider for admit orders to the
Infirmary. Call provider for Restraint orders in the Infirmary. Update
provider regarding emergency issues, medication issues. Assist on the Units
for any mental health assessment if CERT, Shift Lieutenant or case worker
requests. Assist with all "man down" calls. Assist with medication pass as
needed. Assist with gathering information for Forced Medication Panel.
Attend Forced Medication Panel and present information to the Medical
Review Panel. Complete Denial of Rights form for Forced Medication Panel
clients. Participate in Treatment Team with Provider, Psychologist and
Custody Staff. Update "Tazer" desensitization list each month. Maintain
AIMS assessments and medication consents as current.
