. Harry Fox Agency - New York

Onsite Project Director representing Horizon Companies for a large mass

remediation project for changing code in RPG / ILE programs carried out at

Horizon's offshore facility in Mumbai, India. Horizon Companies provided

RPG developers and technical managers working remotely from India. The

project scope involved complete analysis of grouping of programs using

common files by doing program explosions through Hawkeye generating an

explosion graph. The programs thus grouped were remediated to replace the

existing IO code with a call to the GET programs done by running HFA

supplied utility for each unit and any programming efforts required for

compilation. This modified code was intended to access an external database

bypassing the native DB2/400.

For the most part, developers were working with a custom code generating

tool and special procedures that could not be directly integrated into the

Change Management System. Consequently, coding was done working outside of

change management and results brought into the change management process

when ready for testing. All the documents like Code review, Unit Testing,

QA, Project Status Report, Weekly Status report; Conference Call minutes

etc were prepared in Horizon formats designed under ISO 9001-2000

Methodology customized to the HFA Darwin offshore project.

The deliverables involved Program explosion document, Task grouping

document, Program code review, Unit testing at program level, Program

integration testing of related programs and QA document at task level with

user signoff at each level.

Customization, maintenance and ongoing support of JD Edwards World

software. Analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of

several bolt on modules like Product Initiation where all the new Items go

through several levels of approval, reconciliation of Vendor Chargeback

System, various inquiries and reports on Sales History like Sales Erosion

by Territory, Customer Sales Summary by Market Segment, Salesman

Commissions etc. One major undertaking was integrating the information from

the legacy Warehouse System to JDE. The orders are entered in JDE and

further processing is done in the legacy warehouse system until shipment

confirmation. The sales update process was modified to update custom JDE

and legacy files. A new comprehensive Invoice Inquiry system was written

with exits to order detail, invoice summary, shipping box inquiry

indicating the line items shipped in each box with an option to host access

to find out tracking information from UPS.

OFFSHORE Coordination and liaison - Project Management in the capacity of

onsite coordinator with day to day support, project tracking, testing and

helping promote changes to production. Maintain weekly offshore resource

plan. Offshore facility has a team of twelve programmer/analysts working

out of Horizon office in Mumbai with one resident project manager.

Developed program to maintain special price deals for certain items

supplied by mills for particular customers effective within a date range.

Created a batch process for open orders to recognize line items falling

under a deal and creating new detail line for cost adjustments to be

processed in the day end job stream for cutting mill debits in a work

file. Created month end batch process to consolidate debits for each mill

and create debit vouchers and auto post these for applying against

payments to mills.

Designed, developed and documented interface between HFA's Order Management

System with SIM/400 Inventory module. The interface maintained item

balances of all associated transactions in SIM/400 and updated HFA's

Inventory System.

Darling Store Fixtures, Inc. - Arkansas

o Modified SIM/400 Sales Order Management to allow changes to product

composition at the time of order rather than having a special part and

associated BOM for each customer. MPS and MRP also modified to

reflect the changes in Sales Order Management.

o Designed and developed a comprehensive system to purge all history

data which is 13 months old and save in a history library. Provided an

inquiry ability on purged data with different keys like order number,

invoice number etc.

Ball Seed Company (Burpee) - Illinois

1. Extensive enhancements necessary for Ball Seed's successful

implementation of SIM/400. Supported release upgrade from

SIM/400 2.2 to 3.0. Migrate existing enhancements in SIM/400's

Purchase Order, Inventory, Sales Order and Work Order

Management.

Neuville Industries - North Carolina

Major modifications to SIM/400 to allow for one sales order detail line to

be shipped to various ship to addresses in split quantities. The bill to

customer would place a consolidated order for various items and each of

these items could be shipped to multiple addresses on different dates. This

involved creation/maintenance of sublines for a detail line and changes had

to be made to the process of picking. Also MPS, MRP and Work Order

Management were modified to reflect these changes.

Modify MPS and MRP generation and inquiry programs to utilize alternate

items with available inventory prior to creating Planned Orders for a given

item.

Modesto Tallow - California

Modified Sales Order Entry program to allow input of six decimal position

unit prices to calculate the extended price correctly.
